The remarkable power of giving people more than they expect.

Still to this day, Elaine, a Veterinarian turned speaker who presents in an interactive way helps me with the process of serving people better.

I had the honor of attending Elaine Klemmensen’s lecture at the BCVTA symposium last April.

Yesterday, my kitty had her annual wellness exam.

Training the cat to tolerate handling is an ongoing task

We regularly work on handling for physical exams & restraint, tooth brushing, blood pressure check’s and most difficult- grooming procedures 🐈‍⬛

Adding enrichment, she’s is food motivated and happy to engage.

On this snow day, I have homework & Furkin helps assisting with efficient use of equipment 🐾🐾

Do you brush your cat? 🐱. 🐈. 🐈‍⬛

Interesting fact that many short haired cats shed a ton and even more than long haired cats.

Some cats love being brushed and others, not so much.

There are certain techniques one can use to integrate brushing into a routine.

Doing the things that makes our pets happy

After I exercise, I feel accomplished

Working with pets, I channel my energy to a source of pure joy, mentally releasing energy while increasing my health in so many ways 🐾🐾

A game of fetch, running and playing burns off excess energy.
That feeling after a good workout reduces the likelihood of destructive behavior, anxiety and even aggression in our pets 🐶
Observing our pets, dogs and cats feel this relief too 🤎

Grab a leash 🐾🐾 Head out the door 🐾🐾
