🐾 A Quick Update from Big Rock Boarding Kennels 🐾

First of all, thank you so much for your continued support! We truly appreciate every family that trusts us with their pets. As our kennel continues to grow, we’re making a couple of changes to help us better manage our schedule and continue providing the best care possible.

📅 New Booking Policy

Beginning August 1, we’ll be accepting reservations 3 months in advance on a rolling basis.

For example:
• August 1: Book for September, October & November
• September 1: Book for October, November & December
• October 1: Book for November, December & January

This new system helps us keep our calendar more accurate, accommodate changes more easily, and give everyone a fair opportunity to book.

💲Pricing Update

Effective October 1, our boarding rates will increase by 10%.

Like everything else, the cost of supplies, utilities, insurance, and caring for your pets continues to rise. This small adjustment will help us maintain the level of care, cleanliness, and attention that your pets deserve while they’re with us.

We’re so grateful for your understanding and support. We love caring for your furry family members and look forward to welcoming them back for many more country vacations!

Please don’t worry—our 3-month booking window is simply changing when reservations open, not how likely you are to get a spot. We’ll post reminders each month when the next booking window opens.

It smells like wet dog in here!🐾🐕🤣 All the dogs did go out this morning in the rain, luckly came in before the downpour! Now we are waiting for it to let up before we go out again!!
We have had a few thunder storms⛈️🌩️ and every dog is doing pretty well! We keep the fans going and the radio up!

Canada Day fireworks are scheduled for launch at 11:59pm tonight, Tuesday, June 30!

Fireworks will be launched from the Lower West Peace Boat Launch. Please avoid this area to allow crews to work safely.

There are lots of great places to watch from. People often gather around Riverfront Park and the walking path, or in their cars along the hill.

If you have pets, please take precautions to ensure their safety and comfort during the fireworks.

We will communicate if there are any delays or changes to the plans.
