It’s already been 6 crazy weeks since the girlies and I have been “fully nomad”, and I’ve already had a bajillion realizations and epiphanies about what traveling full-time without a home base of your own is *really* like.
It’s been strange, “bed surfing” with two little senior pugs, across two provinces, searching for a new cutlery drawer every week, learning to use every brand of coffee machine under the sun, constantly adapting to different routines and neighbourhoods and grocery stores…. strange strange strange…
While I’ve been sharing along the way on The Road to Grumble Farm's stories, I’m VERY behind on posting to the feed. So we’re gunna take it back to our VERY first sit of the year from last month with this collection of photos and videos taken from quite possibly one of the most beautiful primary bedrooms I’ve ever slept in (with the prettiest bedding, to boot).
It was in Nakusp, which was the same little lakeside mountain valley village we lived in at the Little Shack on the Farm. This client randomly found me on Facebook, and asked if I could stay at her place for a week with her four little Pomeranians and one Norwegian Elkhound named Timber.
5 dogs is… a lot, but it somehow feels a little more manageable when you’re staying in a nearly two million dollar, 4200 square foot lakefront estate in the woods. And the only reason I share those details is because the place is currently up for sale on realtor.ca (MLS #10367530 Sotheby’s International Realty Canada, if you wanted to check it out; Google 2600 Highway 23 N, Nakusp 👀)
I loved waking up and opening the blinds to see Arrow Lake every morning (except for when it was snowing, but even then, the view was still kinda vibey); there was also a little trampoline in the bedroom that I loved rebounding on every chance I got as I gazed out at the water. Great way to stimulate the lymphatic system 🙂
Looking back, we definitely started off this new nomadic chapter with a bang… ❤️🧡
