Morinville Veterinary Clinic was founded in 1977 by Dr. Duane Landals. The clinic was originally a mixed-animal practice treating both pets and farm animals. In 2005, Morinville Veterinary Clinic became a dedicated companion animal facility and underwent extensive renovations. Our team is part of VetStrategy, a network of veterinary hospitals across

Canada. With access to hundreds of specialists and a robust support system, we can provide an elevated level of care for our patients. We are also strong supporters of animal welfare and supply impound housing to the City of Morinville. We take pride in preparing strays that have not been claimed and ready them for adoption. Happy Summer! ☀️🐾

Summer is the perfect time to get outside and explore with your pets. It's also the season when parasites are most active. Keeping up with your pet's parasite prevention and deworming throughout the summer is one of the best ways to protect their health.

Whether you're hiking forest trails, swimming at the lake, camping, exploring parks, or simply enjoying the backyard, parasites can be found almost anywhere there's tall grass, standing water, wildlife, or other animals.

While you're out making memories, don't forget water safety too! Always provide fresh drinking water, keep an eye on your pet around lakes and rivers, and be mindful of strong currents, blue-green algae, and other water hazards.

A little prevention goes a long way toward a safe, healthy, and fun-filled summer. If you have questions about the best parasite protection for your pet, we're always happy to help!

If you find a baby animal alone, your first instinct may be to help—but in many cases, the best thing you can do is leave it where it is. Parents are often nearby and will return once people leave the area.

Wild animals have the best chance of survival when they stay with their parents. Picking them up, moving them, or taking them home can do more harm than good.

- Observe from a distance.
- Take photos instead of touching.
- Call a wildlife rehabilitator if you're unsure.
