🐱🚨 URGENT – Help us save this sweet cat family! 🚨🐱
My girlfriend discovered a mama cat and her two tiny kittens shivering outside in the cold.
Sadly, one baby has already passed away, but mom and her surviving kitten are still hanging on.
We last saw them today at 6 PM and we’re determined not to lose anyone else.
Plan tomorrow morning:
We’re setting up a warm shelter-box with food & water to lure them to safety. Once we gain their trust, they’ll come indoors, and hopefully found them place in a loving, permanent home.

One man found the sweetest way to help shelter dogs get adopted. He carries them around New York City in a backpack so people can finally notice them.

Every week, Bryan Reisberg visits local shelters, picks a dog who needs help finding a home, and gently settles them into his “adopt me” backpack. Then he walks through the city with them, riding the subway, stopping at parks and letting strangers meet a dog they might have never seen behind a kennel door.

It works because people connect with a face, not a cage. They see a scared or hopeful pup looking out of the backpack and suddenly feel something. That moment of eye contact has already led to real homes. One dog, Bertha, was adopted just days after her backpack adventure.

Bryan films each outing and shares the stories online. Out of the dogs he has featured, almost all have found families. His simple idea has turned into a lifeline for dogs who were being overlooked.

Sometimes changing a life doesn’t require a huge rescue or a big organization. Sometimes it is just one person, one backpack and one dog who finally gets their chance to be seen.

Swedish musician Mattias Krantz shared on his YouTube channel how he spent six months training an octopus he rescued from a market—whom he named "Tako"—to play a piano specially designed for it. The video, which has garnered over 6 million views, captures everything from the animal's arrival at a custom aquarium to the various methods the YouTuber tried to stimulate it, tapping into the remarkable intelligence and learning ability of octopuses. Krantz crafted a keyboard with levers that the octopus could pull and a reward mechanism that released food each time a key was pressed, enabling the creature to play simple melodies using its eight tentacles. According to the musician, the experiment highlighted the impressive cognitive potential of these animals, and he decided to keep Tako as a pet after the experience concluded.

The dog Bear became one of the heroes during the catastrophic wildfires in Australia between 2019 and 2020 by successfully locating over a hundred koalas that were trapped or injured. He was honored with the Animal Action Award by the International Fund for Animal Welfare for his exceptional ability to detect koala fur and droppings. Bear had been abandoned by his previous owners due to behavioral issues, but he eventually joined the dog training center for conservation at the Sunshine Coast University. There, he learned to work alongside specialized teams operating in affected areas of New South Wales and Queensland.
