Greetings, I am Farrah Frizzell, a young dog handler with a rich history of working with canines that dates back to my childhood. My introduction to the sport was through attending dog shows with my grandparents, respected Shetland sheepdog breeders Len & Jean Cormier. This early exposure paved the way for my involvement in junior handling, where I quickly made a name for myself by winning the zone 2 finals at the tender age of 11. This achievement granted me the distinction of being the youngest person to compete in the 2012 Canadian nationals. My expertise has been refined through mentorship from industry leaders and hands-on experience with diverse breeds.
My past mentors include notable professionals in the dog show industry, such as Alison Alexander of Leading Edge Dog Show Academy, who I worked under as a child. I also learned from Todd Foley, Terri Lee Foley, and Susan Dugas, who taught me about various breeds including Boxers, Gordon Setters, Beagles, etc. As a young adult, I worked with Bonnie Fisher from my home town and Jean Hargis in California. From there I met Judi Elford and received my first Samoyed. I also had the opportunity to work with and learn from Jennifer Remazki, Joanna Leigh Parker-Ross, Brian & Linda Read, and Kelly Tonkin, among others. Thank you to all those that have supported and taught me throughout the years.
