It’s definitely NOT easy for most pups to make the conscious decision to relax, settle and be calm.. but it’s more than doable and eventually achievable for them if you incorporate it into your daily routine.

End a walk, play, training session or any exciting activity with your pup with a calm relaxing exercise to teach them that it always feels good to pause and feel mellow. 😴🐶

This will go a long way to help your dog eventually do so on their own, by managing their own emotions and feelings, even when there’s lots going on around them.

Take it one day at a time and see how it goes!

Nothing but happy smiles and kisses from our pups during Lauren’s Puppy Cadet 101 sessions! 😊🧡

🐶 Baron, Duke and August are among many of our pups that have long since graduated from this program, but yet still benefit from and love having ongoing access to these sessions so they can continue practicing their obedience skills, master their impulse control, upkeep their amazing social skills and simply have a wonderful time!

Your affection will and should always be THE most powerful treat that you must for sure never run out of, and always carry with you.

Bring out the best in you and share with your pup, especially at moments and times where he or she is doing something your happy with! This will encourage them to want to do it again in the future! 😋

Socialization isn’t about getting to know and play with other dogs. That’s merely the start! Get your pup (or dog of any age) comfortable and eager to touch, feel, stand on, wear, grab, hear, smell new objects, places, clothing, sights and sounds. All so they can show you that they’re comfortable around those and can thus be able to respond in a sociable and relaxed manner in the future! 🐶🧡🐾

This is a big component of our classes and knows just how to make this lesson a really fun one for you!
