Maggie has kicked off this season’s drop-off sessions! 🐶😁🐾

What are drop-off sessions about? They’re all about your dog! These sessions allow (lucky) me to spend one on one time with your dog in order to help meet their training, enrichment and socialization needs.

But the most important part of our sessions is that we follow your dog’s pace and comfort level. We want your little one to tell us when they’re feeling ready for more.

And based on these clips I’d say Maggie aced her very first drop-off! 👏🏼😊💕

Behaviour modification, especially with reactivity, is about setting our littles up for success in environments where they can thrive.

Every dog’s journey looks different, and yes, Chloe still reacts sometimes. That’s normal! Just like us, dogs don’t get everything perfect after training and that's okay. What matters most is how they bounce back and keep moving forward, learning and realizing they have options. 🐾💪

Say the cue you're working on once, but make sure you:

✅ Practice often & keep is positive
✅ Practice in suitable environments
✅ Allow your dog time to respond

Crate training and separation anxiety as a whole can be very challenging dog training topics to tackle, sometimes even controversial. 🤔

But just like with anything else you're wanting to teach your dog, the key is to obtain as much consent as possible, and listen to what your dog is saying, every step of the way. Check out this snippet of Everest's training session where we touched on how to reintroduce her to the idea of being in a confined space. 💛🐶🏡
