We had a pleasure of hosting Stewart - a large lovely poodle who met New Year with us. He is a gentle giant who gets along with everyone. I hope he will visit again !

I had to refuse one lovely border collie girl Sky today. She lunged at my Gabby. I am proud of my dogs and their behaviour. After Sky tried to bit Gabby both of my dogs stepped back calmly. No teeth, no growling. They just sat back and watched. It's a pity that Sky couldn't stay with us as her parents were in emergency situation but we are a family oriented dog boarding and we need to establish at least tolerance before we accept new temporary family members. I think that Skye was upset and nervous - given more time we would probably all get along.

We will be saying goodbye today to lovely, well behaved girls who spent a week with us. They blended right in with our family and we will miss them when they return to their home. Until next time Sadie and Shadow !

We care about dogs who come for a day or overnight. We don't cage them. They have a run of the house and huge backyard. We've just limited a number of our boarders to 2 from 3. This is for comfort of all dogs - less tension, more room to make friends and blend into a pack and more opportunities to get hugs, cuddles and kisses from humans.. All guests are supervised at all times. This is COTTAGE IN THE CITY after all :) 24 hours boarding is $45 - less for two dogs from the same home. We offer unlimited love for dogs and comforting hugs when your dog misses you.
When you drop off your dog at out home he or she becomes a temporary part of the family. It is not a simple task. We have to earn your dog's trust. We have to introduce him or her to a foreign environment. We have to make our resident dogs share space without dispute. We have to provide separate eating space for each because of known territorial issues. We have to desensitize our resident dogs to petting strangers at home. It's not just boarding. It's full time care.
