Spring is here, and while we're loving the warmer weather, it's important to remember that this season brings some hazards for our furry friends! πŸŒ·β˜€οΈ

Here's what to watch out for:

1. Allergies: Just like us, pets can suffer from seasonal allergies. Keep an eye out for excessive scratching, licking, or sneezing.
2. Parasites: Ticks and fleas are back in full force! Make sure your pet is up-to-date on their preventative medications.
3. Spring blooms: Certain flowers and plants, like tulips and daffodils, are toxic to pets if ingested. Keep them out of reach!
4. Gardening dangers: Fertilizers, insecticides, and cocoa mulch can be harmful if ingested. Store them safely away from curious paws.
5. Car rides: Warmer weather = car rides with your dog! Windows open? Watch for eye debris and ensure they're secure in a carrier or with a seat belt!!

If you have any concerns about your pet's health, don't hesitate to reach out!

Winter walks are great, but salt can be a real pain for your dog's paws! β„οΈπŸΎ Salt and other de-icers can cause irritation, dryness, and even burns on your furry friend's sensitive paw pads.

Here are some tips to keep your pup's paws protected this winter:

* Booties: A great way to create a barrier!
* Paw Balm: Apply before and after walks to moisturize and protect.
* Wipe/Wash Paws: After each walk, rinse your dog's paws with warm water to remove any salt or chemicals.
* Check Regularly: Look for signs of redness, cracking, or pain.

Let's keep those tails wagging all winter long!
