**Injury Leave Update**
Dear Clients,

I just wanted to make a quick post to update on my injury.

I am able to use my arm more. Though there is still some discomfort depending on how I use my arm, and how much weight I handle, I am happy with the healing progress.

I have two more weeks off of my leave and should be able to resume work for schedule appointments June 15 onwards. I will update if anything changes before then.

UPDATE ON INJURY MAY 18th: (2 weeks post injury)

I saw the orthopaedic doctor last Friday on the 15th and for the very brief five minutes that he looked at me and looked at my x-rays he told me to come back in three weeks to do recheck x-rays and to not start any Physio.

Overall there is improvement in the mobility of my arm but I still can’t open it fully. I will update again after my recheck in 3 weeks.

**Update as of May 12**

On May 11, my family physician was able to fit me into his schedule to assess my injury and provide guidance as I was tired of waiting on the specialist. He advised that I will require six weeks of recovery, with a reassessment closer to the end of that period. I will also need physiotherapy for my arm, though he does not anticipate that a cast will be necessary.

At the same time as my appointment, I received a call from the Orthopedic Clinic and have a consultation scheduled for **May 15**. I will begin physiotherapy next week, following that orthopedic assessment.

Based on a six-week recovery period starting from **May 4**, my estimated return would be **mid-June**. As a result, all appointments scheduled for the weeks of **May 18**, **June 1**, and **June 8** will be **cancelled**. I will contact everyone individually to confirm these cancellations.

Please note that I am unable to reschedule cancelled appointments. Pets will need to wait until their next regularly scheduled appointment with me. In the meantime, due to my recovery and the need to rebuild strength in my arm, I strongly encourage you to have your pet maintained by another groomer. This will help ensure coats do not become overly matted or overgrown, which can require more strenuous grooming when I return.

**UPDATE**
I received notification on May 6th from my family physician regarding the results of a radiologist report, confirming that I have a fracture in my elbow. My physician advised me to visit the orthopedic clinic promptly; however, I was unfortunately turned away and instructed to wait for a phone call.

I have proactively contacted my clients for the week of May 11th to 15th to cancel their appointments. At this point, it seems likely that I will not be able to work at all for the remainder of May.

For clients scheduled between May 18th and 24th, I will reach out midweek next week to confirm cancellations.

The timeline for my return to work is currently uncertain, but all future appointments scheduled for June will remain unchanged until I have more clarity as the time approaches. Please keep an eye out on this page for more updates.

At 845am Saturday May 2nd, I took a bad fall and injured my arm. I am unable to use my dominant arm which mean I need to take time off to heal this injury.
I will evaluate on a week by week basis.

I did go to ER and doc is referring me to orthopedic. There is a pocket of blood formed in my joint with the possibility of a small fracture but he wasn't sure.

For this upcoming week of May 4th-8th. Appointments are cancelled with no rescheduling options. I will reach out to everyone with an appointment on Sunday May 3rd.

I really hate to have to do this, but I unfortunately is need my mobility to do this job. Thank you for understanding, and keep an eye out here for more updates.

If any clients booked this afternoon (Monday Feb 23rd) that wish to post-pone their appointment last minute due to inclement weather or terrible road conditions, please feel free to message me.

I will be closed Tuesday morning to give time for the roads and my driveway to be plowed. I will be in my studio in the afternoon.

Dear valued clients,

As you may have heard, the bridge closure has now been officially announced to be closed April 1st - Dec 1st 2026. For those of you who typically cross the bridge to reach my grooming studio, this will unfortunately result in significant delays and longer travel times around the river.

If you choose to keep grooming services with me during this period, please plan your work schedules & travel accordingly and allow extra time to ensure you arrive punctually for your scheduled appointments. As my calendar is pre-booked in advance, I will not be able to accommodate rescheduling or late arrivals related to the bridge closure.

If, however, you feel it would be more convenient to book with a groomer on your side of the river, I completely understand and support your decision to do so. Please be sure to call other groomers now to secure a spot for your pet.

PRICE INCREASE 2026 BATH & TIDY/ CAT GROOMINGS/ MISC


Dear clients,

As of today January 5th, 2026 Bath & Tidy prices, Cat grooming prices, and miscellaneous services such as Nail trims are going up $5. This is the first increase my bath and tidy services gets since opening in 2022.

The prices will be:
Bath & Tidy
XS/SM $40
Med $50
Large $70
XL- N/A

CATS:
Minor Grooming: $40
Major Grooming: $60

Nail Trims: $25 (+$5 for each additional pet booked at the same time)
A**l Glands: $25
Sanitary/Touch ups: $25

I will be evaluating my Full Groom prices and be doing an increase in the spring.
