Job Posting: Contract Position — Leis Feed & Supply

Location: Leis Feed & Supply / The Town Barker Listowel
Contract Duration: 3–6 months, with the possibility of extension or transition to a permanent position
Schedule: Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Rotating Saturdays (1 in every 4): 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Wage: $18–$21 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Leis Feed & Supply is a trusted agricultural feed store serving our local farming and pet-owning communities. We are currently seeking a reliable, customer-focused individual to join our team on a contract basis. This position involves working both in our main agricultural feed store and within The Town Barker, our in-store pet supply section.

Key Responsibilities
-Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service
-Assist customers in selecting agricultural feed products
-Support sales in The Town Barker pet supply area, including dog, cat, and small animal food and accessories
-Stock shelves, load feed bags, and maintain a clean, organized store environment
-Operate the cash register and complete transactions accurately
-Invoicing Farm Customers for delivery
-Perform closing duties – prepare deposit and locking doors
-Weekly product ordering for some items
-Work cooperatively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations

Qualifications & Assets
-Experience or knowledge in agricultural feed or animal nutrition is a strong asset
-Knowledge of pet food and small animal supplies is also an asset
-Ability to lift and move feed bags (up to 50 lb)
-Strong communication and customer service skills
-Comfortable with computers is required
-Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
-Previous retail experience is an asset but not required
