A lot of thought went into choosing this brand and placement.
In Alberta you can’t create any new brands with arbitrary symbols, they have to have previously existed. So after many hours of searching old brand books and cross referencing it with the current registered brands, I landed on this one. From the year 1907. This brand caught my eye while my dad was still in a coma last year and we didn’t think he was going to make it. It was also then that I chose the name for my ranch off his list of suggestions that we had brainstormed earlier- “Rae of Hope Ranch”. And used one of his favorite taglines as my own “Do life great”. I felt this brand encompassed the idea behind “Rae of Hope”. Hope for people and for horses. And placing it on the left shoulder it’s like a key to the heart. My dad’s miraculous healing of his heart, and a key to the horses heart.
Long story short- I’m very excited to have this officially registered.
And for anyone wondering it was actually super easy and very quick to get one registered from an old brand book. I expected it to be a long complicated process fighting with a long list of rules, but it was none of that.

I did a podcast episode with Kim and Jackie on Grow Your Life! Shared quite a few stories that have never before been shared including:

• a “hobby” I had in high school that I’m sure you’ve never heard before

🦠 Attention: for the time being Rae of Hope Ranch will be closed to haul ins until we know more about the spread of EHV from this outbreak in the US.
🐴 We have not been affected here and horses remain healthy, but i am taking precautions with the best interest of our clients and horses in mind.
🐴 Training will continue with strict quarantine and sanitation measures in place, temping on arrival, assigned brushes, halters, buckets etc to each horse, and very limited bookings. I have been on the phone with my vet on a regular basis planning and discussing protocols to ensure the best protection for everyone.
💉 Please remember that vaccinations are required for horses that come for training.
👖 When clients come for pick up/drop off/or to see their horse during training, I ask that you wear clean clothes and shoes that have not been in contact with other horses prior to coming.
