Client Update & A Heartfelt Thank You ❤️✂️

Hi everyone,

First, I want to sincerely thank each and every one of you for your understanding, patience, and kindness over the past couple of weeks. Your willingness to reschedule appointments and your thoughtful messages have truly meant the world to me and my family during this incredibly difficult time.

As many of you know, my husband recently underwent open-heart surgery — a triple bypass — and it’s been a long, emotional journey of hospital visits, sleepless nights, and driving back and forth between RVH and then Southlake Hospital. Thankfully, he is now home- on the road to recovery and healing well. 🙏

This week, I’ll be grooming up until Wednesday, and then I’ll be taking some much-needed time off to rest and recharge. I will be back to grooming on Monday, August 26th.

📵 Please note: During my time off, I won’t be responding to calls or texts.

If I happened to miss rescheduling your appointment or you’re still waiting to hear from me, please feel free to reach out and I’ll make sure we get you booked in.

📅 Now booking for the week of September 8th–12th.

It’s been a stressful 2.5 weeks, but we’re slowly finding our way back to a new normal, and I’m looking forward to seeing you and your furry friends again soon.

Happy long weekend, everyone! 🌞

I wanted to reach out and give you all a quick update, as I’ll need to move around some appointments over the next couple of weeks.

Some of you may have noticed that my husband has been home for the past six weeks. He’s been facing some health challenges, and after a lot of testing, we finally have some answers.

He’s currently been admitted to RVH and is waiting on a surgery date at Southlake—hopefully this Wednesday or Thursday, according to the nurses. 🤞🏻

Because of this, I may need to reschedule some appointments this week. I truly appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. Appointments may be delayed by a week or two, but I’ll do my best to accommodate everyone as soon as I can (even if it means working longer hours!).

I should have more clarity in the next couple of days and will keep you updated.

The Crosbie boys are hosting a lemonade stand this Saturday!
They’ve decided that all proceeds will be donated to help cover vet costs for a sweet kitten named Brick, currently in the care of Street Cats Rescue ❤️‍🩹. I’ll be matching their donation as well!

If you’re out and about on Saturday and want to support a great cause, please stop by.

Last week was a quieter one, which was much appreciated as we had to say goodbye to our sweet Twix man. ❤️‍🩹

Thank you all so much for your kind and thoughtful words — they’ve meant a lot. 🙏🏻 A special thank you to Georgian Bay Vets; Dr. Tiffany was absolutely incredible with us and our boys. We picked up Twix’s urn on Friday, and it was a bittersweet moment. ❤️

A Personal Note from Me This Week

This week, my responses may be a little slower than usual, and you may notice I seem a bit quieter or subdued. Our family said goodbye to our beloved dog, Twix.

Over the past few days, his health declined rapidly, and after a lot of love, hope, and tears, David and I made the incredibly difficult decision to help him cross the rainbow bridge. This was not a decision we made lightly—we had truly hoped he would rebound—but we knew it was time.

Twix was such a big part of our lives, and he leaves behind so many memories. I find comfort in picturing him reunited with Charm, our sweet shepherd, and Rosee, showing him the ropes and welcoming him with tails wagging.

Run free, Twix. Chase all the discs your heart desires, and I hope there’s a dock up there just waiting for your next big leap.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time. Hug your pups for me this week ❤️‍🩹

Here’s a quick update on my summer availability + vacation plans! 🏖️

✨ I still have some openings in July & August—DM me if you’re looking to book and I’ll send over available dates!

🛑As for my vacation schedule:
• I’ll be off from July 23rd–28th
• And again from August 20th–25th

During these times, I won’t be available to respond to messages, texts, or calls. I’ll be back to answering all inquiries starting July 29th and August 26th, respectively.

With the warmer weather comes… fleas and ticks 🤢
As much as we love this time of year, it’s also prime season for those unwanted pests. If your pet isn’t currently on flea prevention, please make sure to start now.

A quick reminder:
If a pet comes into the salon with fleas or ticks, I do have a flea policy in place. This is to protect all dogs coming in after, as I will need to thoroughly disinfect the entire salon, and that puts everyone at risk—plus, it takes valuable time away from other appointments.

So please, do your part and help keep the salon a clean, safe space for everyone 💛
