Fresh Fabric Sunday! The second batch is ready for the drop. 🥳 Here are some of the latest beautiful fabrics ready to be made into some amazing saddle pads or western blankets. Some fabrics have enough for multiple sets, others are just enough for one.

Made locally in Metchosin BC, my English pads start at $150 for an “easy care” bamboo blend batting. The bamboo can survive a hot water or dryer occurrence😉. The cotton and Vancouver Island wool high performance pads are $250.
Western blankets are made with a cotton and wool blend batting that are custom sized to go over your pads. Priced at $225 or $250 depending on your wear leather requirements.

Dressage, but done differently… these two full sized pads are available for immediate purchase. I’ll even include shipping in Canada! Both are made with Vancouver Island wool and pure cotton batting layers, but made with slightly different shapes. The pink background pad suits a narrower build of horse with a higher wither, the golden rod background pad is best for a wider build with lower wither.

Both are proudly offered at $250 and can be shipped out tomorrow. Message me to claim yours. There’s no more fabric available for anyone else🤷‍♀️.

I’m not dead, I’ve just been really really busy 😂.

I have some great new pads and fabrics available that will be at the Equine Market in Metchosin this Saturday. Come say hi and get our pad orders placed in person. It’s going to be worth it!

There’s been a lot of volunteer work lately and a lot of sewing in the evenings to get the “to-do lists” down to a dull roar. “Social media management” has been first item crossed off the “need-to-do” list. I’m sorry, but be prepared for a whole bunch of update photos in the near future. I’ve been busy!

Thank you all for the amazing support and continuing orders. I am loving how far these pads and blankets are going into the world. It’s been an amazing journey so far in 2026 and it’s only getting going. I’m so excited for what’s coming up next!

Gauging interest… here is a western pad liner I just completed for a friend. It’s made with a cotton flannel underside and cotton wool blend for batting with no wear leathers as it sits under the wool pad. Designed to be an easy to wash blanket with minimal bulk and will require a tracing of the pad it goes with to guarantee a perfect fit (provided by the pads owner). This blanket is to be used to keep the wool felt pad protected/cleaner for longer.

Full disclosure, cost of materials for this is about $90. The cheapest I would consider doing these is going to be $150 to cover my labour, tools and machinery costs. If these get picked up by a retailer, this would be my wholesale price, retail prices will then be higher. Would anyone be interested in something like this as part of my offerings? Does this seem ridiculous or reasonable? Any suggestions from my western riders on making improvements?

Heading out today for adventures is the special ink swirl pad. It got finished just before a critical piece of my machine got broken 😣.

A short delay for quilting has occurred but I’m now catching up on sandwiching for all the other pads in the queue. Expect a lot of photos of finished pieces in the very near future 😅.
