Hello Honored Customers of Honor’s K9 Retreat and boarding kennels, Due to Recent medical complications I sadly Have to announce the closure of the compound. However unlike previous closures this will be permanent. The love and support show by the Nicola valley and those from outside it these last 13 years is something I will never forget. Each dog and Dog owner that have come through these doors have been a truly special paring between man and man’s best friend and it’s been my highest honor to see those relationships grow and thrive, I will forever be thankful for the opportunities that were afforded to me because of your support thank you all❤️

Due to medical issues with myself and the fact that my grandson Levi will be moving to Alberta after Christmas I have made the decision to close Honors k- 9 Retreat from December 30th to
March 1st 2026

Dear valued clients,

As some of you may know, Lyn, the owner/operator of Honor’s K-9 Retreat has been dealing with some health issues for several weeks now. Yesterday morning she was admitted to Kamloops hospital for emergency surgery. Her grandson Levi is managing while she is in hospital, however, they will not be taking any NEW bookings at this time.

Also, if you have called or left messages regarding bookings the past few days, and haven’t received a response or call back, we apologize. For any urgent matters please contact Amber at

It is with an absolutely broken heart. That I must inform everyone of the passing of Our beloved Honor. She pasted over the rainbow bridge yesterday morning cradled in my arms.
Honor will be sadly miss by soooo many people as well as furry four legged friends. Jacob, George, Lucy, Hannah, Lewis,Joey, Benji,
Millie,Just to name a few.
Over the years she had the pleasure of making friends will literally hundreds of dogs.
Not once in her thirteen years did she ever experience what a dog fight was.
She was the most gentle,caring, compassionate dog ever.
She left a legacy behind. One that will forever be Honor’s K-9 Retreat Boarding Kennels.
