Our forests aren't just trees—they're home to countless animals, a place where families make memories, and a part of what makes Canada so beautiful. Right now, so many people have lost homes, businesses, and precious moments because of wildfires. Firefighters are risking their lives every day, and many families are living with uncertainty.

Please, from the bottom of my heart, think twice before lighting fireworks, having a campfire, or doing anything that could spark another fire. One small decision can change thousands of lives.

If we all slow down a little, stay closer to home when we can, respect fire bans, and look out for one another, we can help protect the places we all love.

Let's choose kindness over carelessness. Let's protect our forests, our wildlife, our neighbours, and the brave firefighters working tirelessly to keep us safe.

Canada is our home. Let's take care of it together—for ourselves, for our children, and for the generations still to come. ❤️🍁

In times of disasters and fires, our hearts are with everyone affected. 💙

As you're checking on your family, friends, and neighbours, please take a moment to check on your pets too. Make sure they are safely at home, wearing a leash or secure in a carrier if you need to leave, and never left to wander.

They depend on us to keep them safe, especially during uncertain times. A few extra minutes could make all the difference.

Please stay safe, look after one another, and don't forget our four-legged family members. 💙🐾

Help a Dog Feel Comfortable Again ❤️🐾

I'm starting a community donation fund to help dogs who need grooming but whose families may not be able to afford it.

Donations will help provide grooming for:
• Rescue dogs preparing for adoption or recovering from neglect.
• Senior pet owners who are struggling financially but want the best for their beloved companions.

A proper groom is more than just a haircut—it can relieve painful matting, improve comfort, support skin health, and help dogs live happier, healthier lives.

Every donation, big or small, can make a real difference. If you'd like to help give a dog the care they deserve, please consider donating or sharing this post to spread the word.

If you can no longer care for your pet, please know that you still have options. Animal shelters, rescue organizations, and rehoming groups exist to help animals find safe and loving homes.

Dumping an animal outside, on a road, or in an unfamiliar place can leave them scared, hungry, injured, or unable to survive on their own.

Choosing to ask for help is an act of kindness and responsibility. If you cannot keep your pet, please reach out for help so they have the chance to be cared for and loved by someone who can give them the life they deserve.

In British Columbia, you can contact the BC SPCA Animal Helpline at 1-855-622-7722 for information and support with surrendering or rehoming an animal safely.

Every animal deserves safety, compassion, and a place to call home.

A pet is never "just an animal." They are family, a best friend, a loyal companion, and in many ways, a child who never stops needing our love.

They depend on us for everything their food, their safety, their comfort, and their happiness. In return, they give us unconditional love, endless loyalty, and a place in their hearts that belongs only to us. They celebrate our good days, stay close during our bad ones, and love us without judgment.

Our pets deserve patience, kindness, protection, and every ounce of care we can give them. They deserve warm beds, full bellies, gentle hands, and the comfort of knowing they are loved every single day. Their lives may be only a chapter of ours, but to them, we are their entire world.

That is why they deserve the very best we can offer. Not because we have to, but because they spend every day showing us what pure love looks like. Caring for them is one of life's greatest privileges, and loving them is one of the easiest things we will ever do.
