If working at a computer inside ISN'T for you, or if the smell of horses, hay and the outdoors is your happy place.... we have opportunities for you!

We have an exceptionally busy breeding season every year, and we are looking to fill some seasonal positions.

Positions available include:
- Pen Cleaners: this can be a poopy job.... pun intended. There will be 100+ horses that need their pens cleaned, water filled, hay fed and general care maintained. This position requires a basic knowledge of haltering and handling horses. Some weekend work will be required.
- Breeding Managers: there will be two positions available.
➡️One will involve helping make appointments, manage inventory, manage "swimmer" shipments, clean equipment. This is an indoor position. No weekend work typically required. Position runs from March until August
➡️ One will be both indoor/outdoor and will involve recording mare ultrasound information, scheduling treatments, stallion handling and collection and assisting with freezing "swimmers". Some weekend work will be required.

Dr Williams and superstar tech Kaitlyn were up in Cochrane this weekend attending the Spotlight in Equine Practice hosted by Burwash Equine Services. This is an incredible event that brings equine veterinary and vet tech students together to learn about all of the amazing things about equine practice. We met so many incredible students, and we can say with confidence that the future is bright. Huge thank you to all the people involved in this event, the entire team went above and beyond to make this event such a huge success.

Meet Fast Orange. He was lucky enough to be rescued by one of the most kind human beings on the planet. His head is 2 sizes too small for his body. His eyes never uncross. He is continually shocked by a summer breeze. He enjoys outdoor walks and finding and ingesting anything toxic that requires emergency veterinary care.

Existing clients know that January through March is when we offer our farm cat (and dog) spay and neuter program.

Hello friends!

As many of you are aware (it's all over Facebook), there has been an outbreak of EHV1 (the neurologic form of herpes virus) in multiple horses in the US and a confirmed case in Alberta.

There is no vaccine available for this form of herpes virus. We will continue to recommend boosting your fall flu/rhino (also a form of herpes virus). For pregnant mares, we recommend vaccination with both flu/rhino AND the prestige or Pneumobort vaccine (rhinopneumonitis). Most importantly- keep those pregnant mares away from your riding horses. A strong biosecurity protocol is the best and only way to prevent EHV1 spread.

Lets keep it simple- do not go where this virus is.

Hi friends. We have signed quite a few health certificates for Arizona lately. Vesicular Stomatitis is making its rounds again, so please be aware of quarantine rules for horses in affected states. Currently Arizona is under quarantine. You will need to quarantine your horse for 21 days in an unaffected state before returning to Canada (or: enjoy the sunny weather for longer until the quarantine is removed!)

We are starting our search for part time front end/office help. Our lovely Caitlyn O is going back to tech school (next time you see her, give her a well deserved high-five!). You may still see Caitlyn around as we help support her with hands on learning between classes. In the meantime, we will need someone 2-2.5 days per week, with potential to move to full time in the spring (during breeding season mayhem). Experience with animals or within agriculture would be of benefit. You can email resumes to [email protected], or swing by for a visit.
