Meet Medusa — part puppy, part chaos goblin, part professional cuddle bug.
Medusa is currently deep in her “velociraptor with feelings” era. She’s goofy, energetic, wildly entertaining, and somehow also one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet. One minute she’s zooming around the yard like she just drank six espressos, and the next she’s gently leaning against you like a tiny emotional support horse.
This girl is SMART. She already knows sit, lay down, and shake paw, and she’s working hard on stay, leave it, come, and politely waiting for food like the civilized young lady she absolutely believes she is. She’s almost potty trained too — she just likes a little moral support and a scenic walk around the yard before making important bathroom decisions.
Medusa is fantastic with other dogs once she gets comfortable and LOVES rough-and-rowdy play sessions followed by mutual “okay I need a break now” agreements. She matched another dog’s energy beautifully in foster care and would likely thrive with a playful canine buddy to wrestle, zoom, and cause harmless mischief with.
Cats? Surprisingly, yes. She’s socialized with them and has been very gentle and respectful. Tiny miracle, honestly.
She’s also crate trained, although she does feel the need to file a formal complaint for the first 10–15 minutes before settling in dramatically.
On walks, Medusa is a gentle walker, but she does occasionally remember that squirrels exist and temporarily loses her train of thought. She’s food motivated though, which means snacks can usually convince her that listening is, in fact, a good idea.
Like many young dogs, Medusa can be sensitive to unfamiliar noises and new situations, but she’s been doing wonderfully with positive reinforcement and confidence-building. Underneath all the puppy chaos is a soft, affectionate girl who truly just wants to be near her people.
Medusa would thrive in a home ready for adventure, continued training, laughter, and lots of love. She’s not looking for perfection — just humans willing to embrace the beautiful, hilarious work-in-progress that she is. 💜
