“Hi there! I keep seeing you guys doing the Success Story Sunday's and thought I would send an update on Hermey. You are more than welcome to add him to the updates if you want 🙂 I adopted him almost 3yrs ago and he has been such an enjoyable addition to my little family. I knew he was special when I adopted him, but a few months after having him home, his vet and I came to realize he has a mild case of Cerebellar Hypoplasia. It was a little bit of a learning curve to basically "baby" proof the house for him lol but he began to learn his body a little more with being in a home and having room to explore. He is doing amazing and is such a little power house. He loves all of his siblings but his 2 favorites are Franklin (tuxedo cat) and Lilah (big dog)(both adopted from the SPCA). He actually took to the dogs quicker than the cats lol He is funny, quirky, sweet, and just loves to be loved ❤”

🐾💕 Brenda Has a Confession… She’s Actually Pretty Fabulous! 💕🐾

Remember our sweet, shy girl Brenda? Well… she has a little secret. 😏

Since arriving at Animal World, Brenda has REALLY come out of her shell, and the staff have fallen completely in love with her! 🥰

This beautiful tabby has quite the personality once she feels comfortable. She's gone from cautiously observing everything around her to showing everyone just how sweet, silly, and lovable she can be. 💗

Brenda is proof that sometimes all a cat needs is a little time, patience, and a safe place to let their true personality shine. ✨

She may still want to take things at her own pace when meeting new people, but once you're in her circle… you're IN. 😻

🏡 Now Brenda just needs one more thing: her forever family.

🐾 Diesel is ready to retire… but not before finding his forever home! 🐾

Meet Diesel! This handsome senior Pitbull mix has a big personality, an impressive trick resume, and a LOT of love left to give. ❤️

Diesel is currently working on his weight-loss journey, so he's looking for someone who will help him stay active with regular walks and adventures. Don't worry—he's not asking for a hardcore gym membership. A nice stroll, some quality time together, and a comfy couch afterward are more his speed. 😂

And this boy has tricks! 🐾

✨ And plenty more that he would be happy to demonstrate for the right audience (especially if treats are involved).

He's fully potty trained, loves getting out and about, and is happiest when he's spending time with his people.

Diesel can be a little selective about his human friends—especially the men in his life—so introductions are important. But once Diesel decides you're one of his people, you've got a loyal friend for life. 🥰

He's friendly with dogs he knows, while his history with cats is unknown.

What Diesel is really looking for is pretty simple:

10 Tiny Chaos Machines Are Ready to Find Their People!

We have 10 adorable Pit Bull mix puppies who have officially decided that it's time to move on from their current digs and start interviewing potential families.

These little nuggets were born on July 5, 2026, in an amazing foster home, where they have been loved, cared for, and spoiled from day one. They are currently still with their wonderful foster family, who has been doing an incredible job raising this very busy bunch.

But before you fall head-over-heels for a puppy face, PLEASE READ EVERYTHING BELOW CAREFULLY.

Foster-to-Adopt

The puppies will be going home on a foster-to-adopt basis until September 29, 2026, when they receive their second vaccines.

This means you get all the puppy cuddles, zoomies, land sharks, potty-training adventures, and "what is that in your mouth?!" moments while they grow.

Important: Spay & Neuter Contract

All 10 puppies will be adopted with a non-negotiable spay/neuter contract.

We understand that some families, particularly those adopting large-breed dogs, may choose to discuss the timing of spaying or neutering with their veterinarian. We completely respect that every family wants to make informed decisions about their pet's care.

However, as a shelter, we have a responsibility to ensure these puppies are spayed or neutered as outlined in their adoption contract. This requirement is not negotiable.

If you are not comfortable agreeing to and following the spay/neuter contract, we kindly ask that you do not submit an application for these puppies.

We appreciate everyone's understanding and, most importantly, want to make sure these puppies are matched with families who are fully comfortable with all of the requirements before they go home.

-The puppy number and name you are applying for
-A second-choice puppy in case your first choice has already been matched

We will be reviewing applications as they come in. Once we have reviewed your application and feel you may be a good match, we will contact you by phone to discuss the next steps. If you do not receive a call from us, please know it’s not personal. We simply receive far more applications than we have puppies available, and we aren’t able to call everyone who applies.

Please remember that submitting an application does not guarantee adoption of a specific puppy. Our goal is to find the best possible match for each puppy and their future family.

These babies have had an amazing start thanks to their incredible foster family, and now we're excited to find them equally amazing forever homes.

“Hi! I’d like to share a success story!

This is Paco, his name was Kilo when we adopted him at 2 years old in 2014… he used to sleep on concrete until we brought him into our home… we spent 10 beautiful years with him before he passed in 2023… he was our soul dog, he loved water and dirt, and retrieving us fish gently, carrying around big sticks while we said “airplane!” He was a gentle giant, the sweetest soul with the loudest bark… he would bark if we made too much noise, if someone used a swing set, and especially when we were near the dog park… Paco was our first lab, and he left some big paw prints on our heart… we miss him and will forever appreciate getting to meet him and get tackled by him because he was so excited… thank you Paco!”

Harvey, Stevie, and their friends spent this past week collecting donations for the shelter at their lemonade stand… and they managed to raise almost $500! 🥹🍋🐾

Honestly, this brings tears to our eyes. How incredibly sweet is that?! ❤️

Harvey and Stevie stopped by the shelter today to drop off their donations—and, of course, get some very important cat cuddles in! 😻 They were so polite, asked some fantastic questions about the animals, and were genuinely interested in learning more.

These two are definitely future animal advocates! 🥰

And a huge shout-out to their parents for teaching them that animals are our friends and deserve our love, kindness, and protection. ❤️

Thank you, Harvey, Stevie, and all your friends, for being such wonderful little humans. Your kindness means more than you know! 🐾💛🍋

💕 We’ve had a few amazing kids bring donations to the shelter lately, and we couldn’t be more proud. It’s so heartwarming to see the next generation learning the importance of kindness, compassion, and helping animals in need. 🐶🐱

We know some people may wonder why Peanut has some very specific requirements for his forever home. We want to gently remind everyone that these limitations are in place because we are not setting Peanut up for failure.

Peanut has had a few meet-and-greets, and we are so happy that he has had some interest! ❤️ Every person who takes the time to meet him means so much to us, and we are hopeful that the right person will come along.

Due to Peanut’s previous trauma, he does have some defensive tendencies. Because of this, we are looking for a child-free, pet-free home where he can settle in, decompress and continue learning to trust and feel safe.

Putting Peanut into a home with other animals simply wouldn’t be fair to him or the other animals. He needs a home where he can be set up for success and where his needs can truly be understood and respected.

We’ve been in this situation before with our girl Kona, who also had specific limitations when looking for her forever home. And guess what? She found the most amazing family. They have been incredibly patient, understanding and willing to give her the time she needed to thrive.

So, we truly believe Peanut’s people are out there. 🥹

His perfect home may look a little different than the typical adoption, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.

Until then, we’ll keep loving Peanut, advocating for him and making sure we find the right home—not just the quickest one. ❤️
