Your daily Max update 🧡
He lost a bit more of his necrotic tissue, which we were told to expect.
He is happy, he is walking around, eating well (pate puppy food with formula). He is sleeping a lot. The vet figured he likely doesn’t have much feeling in his leg. He slept from 11pm to 4am. He whines when he has to go to the bathroom, he is consistently going on puppy pads.
He is amazing. He sleepy with one of the kids. If he is alone he cries most of the time. He cuddles with the big dogs.
We were given the OK to vaccinate him and deworm him. He’s also full of worms, poor guy. He is approximately 4 weeks old. The vaccine was done early for a couple reasons, he isn’t getting any of those good immunities that pass through mom’s milk, and he is in a higher risk environment being at the rescue. For now we have him at the lake with us. Our dogs have taken to caring for him, cleaning him, and letting him cuddle with him.
Words don’t express how grateful we are for everyone following Max’s story. The donations, the follows, the likes. People often thank us, but truly this is a community effort. We don’t exist without our dedicated followers, Foster’s, volunteers. So again, from all of us, and Max, thank you!!!!! 🥺🥺🥺
