MLDHS is a 100% volunteer operated animal rescue organization operating out of Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan. We have adopted dogs and cats all over Canada and the United States, which proves that when someone finds the right pet, there is no distance too great!

Ducky is off to enjoy the next chapter of his life with his new mom who absolutely adores him. There is something very special about the love and gratitude given and received by a shelter animal. We can only hope that all the animals end up with happy endings.❤️

As we get to know her, we’re discovering an inquisitive and intelligent girl who loves having a person nearby. She is quiet and somewhat timid, taking her time to build confidence in new surroundings. She’s happy to receive attention and affection, but she doesn’t need to be the center of attention every moment. She’s perfectly content to wander, sniff and explore her surroundings—as long as she knows there is a path back to her person.

This lovely girl may need a little time and patience to let her confidence bloom, but she is already showing us the makings of a devoted, intelligent and gentle companion. For the person willing to walk beside her at her pace, she may just become the loyal shadow who never wants to be far from your side. 🐾❤️

Missing family member, goes by the name baby, she is approximately 12 years old and is missed very much..last seen evening of Aug 26 14km south of Meadow lake on the old firegaurd road along the forest line. If seen please call or text 306-240-7703.

She is a bit slimmer now than she is in the pictures as she is 12 years old and starting to show her age..we would sure love to have her home.

We are absolutely blown away by this incredible young girl! 💙

At just 11 years old, she took on the amazing challenge of swimming 2 kilometres across Greig Lake—and she did it with the animals at our shelter in mind. 🏊‍♀️🌊🐶🐱

Through her determination and big heart, she raised an incredible $300, which she has generously donated to help the animals in our care.

That $300 will go toward food, veterinary care, medications, supplies, and all the little things that help keep our shelter animals safe, healthy, and loved. ❤️

What an incredible example of compassion, courage, and community spirit. At 11 years old, she is already making a BIG difference in the lives of animals who need us most.

Thank you Sloane for swimming for the animals, believing in them, and showing us that you are never too young to make a difference. 🐾💙

Once our cages empty out and our tenants move on to new opportunities, they are never empty for long. We currently brought 23 cats and kittens into care with more on the way. We continue to help animals, community and individuals.
Everyone can play a part in creating better lives for animals, communities and pet owners by spaying and neutering your animals.
