You may have (or not noticed) this reminder is on a Tuesday not Wednesday this will be the last med order until I return on June 10th. This is so I can arrange drop offs/pick ups or keep fridge items cold until I return!

⏰ Order deadline:
All requests must be in by 2:45 PM on order today to arrive the following day.

👉 If you’re running low or know you’ll need something soon, please reach out ahead of time so we can get it ordered in for you!

✨ Reminder: A valid VCPR is required for prescription medications.

🐴🩺 Early Mare Pregnancy Checks Matter! 🩺🐴

Just a friendly reminder for my breeding mare clients — timing those early ultrasounds is incredibly important! 🙌

📅 14–17 Days Post Ovulation/Breeding:
This is the ideal window to ultrasound mares to:
• Confirm pregnancy
• Identify twins early 👀
• Personally found this out the hard way this year

💡 Why is twin detection important?
Unlike some species, mares are GENERALLY not designed to safely carry twins to term, and twin pregnancies can lead to:
⚠️ Pregnancy loss
⚠️ Abortion
⚠️ Weak foals or complications for the mare (personally had this experience this year)

Catching twins early gives us the best chance to safely manage the pregnancy.

❤️ 21 Day Recheck:
Around day 21, I strongly recommend a follow-up ultrasound to:
• Confirm the pregnancy is still progressing normally
• Check for a heartbeat ❤️

These early checks are a key part of setting mares up for a healthy pregnancy and successful foaling season!

I jumped on the sketchbook character trend and I’m honestly obsessed 🥹✨

Somehow it captured:
🐾 the dog hair on everything
☕ the caffeine dependency
🎓 the vet life chaos
💛 and my whole personality in doodle form

Featuring my two very patient sidekicks, of course 🐶🐶
Although this is from my FB profile pic and as many of you know my hair is quite short now and minus one of the sidekicks (so much has changed)!

Excited to announce that I am now offering Owner-Use Bovine Semen Collection Services! 🙌

I was recently inspected and approved by the CFIA for owner-use semen collection — another exciting step in continuing to expand reproductive services for producers in the Peace Region.

💡 How it works:
• Semen collections are performed on-farm
• Samples are then sent to an outside processing lab for processing

This service can be a great option for producers looking to:
🐂 Preserve genetics
📈 Build breeding programs
🧬 Utilize valuable herd sires

✨ As always, I’m continuing to grow and expand services to better serve my cattle clients and provide more reproductive options locally.
