🚨 Extreme Cold Alert for Our Furry Friends 🚨
With temperatures dropping to -40 to -50°C with wind chill overnight and through the weekend, this is dangerous weather for pets.
🌲 What we’re doing at the lodge
All boarding pups will be extra tucked in cozy tonight, away from doggy doors with no free outdoor access until temperatures warm a bit. Quick, supervised potty breaks only, because safety first, always.
🥶 Cold tolerance does not mean cold proof! Even large, fluffy, “winter breeds” can get frostbite and hypothermia in short time, at these temperatures. Fur does not make them invincible and their paws are especially susceptible to frost bite. **Outdoor dogs need properly insulated shelter (ideally indoors), in this weather. Please ensure they have what they need to stay warm and have access to water that isn’t frozen ❤️
Also, yes, I know your husky is refusing to come inside. Please make them, despite their protests 😅
Stay warm, friends 🤍🐾❄️
