😍 Watch the pure JOY I feel when a once terrified little puppy sits perfectly for their face scissor work!!

Friends… this is only Taco’s second appointment ever! Three weeks ago, I couldn’t get near his face — thrashing, screaming, flailing... Not safe to even attempt scissors, so we just met where he was and did the best we could.

Today he was a PRO! Like the flick of a lightswitch, he just settled in and trusted me.

🫣 So, if your groomer sends your new puppy home shaggy & uneven, but clean, happy and confident— TRUST that they know what they’re doing!

🐶 Building a puppy’s confidence and teaching them that grooming isn’t scary, takes a lot of patience (and usually a few messy appointments) but the happiness you feel when you get to watch them blossom is magical 💫

P.s… if you’re a groomer, don’t comment on my ridiculous thumb placement, my thumbs are tiny and I need new inserts 🫢

🐾🚘 400 more nails trimmed today between 30+ dogs and kitties! Over 1300 nails trimmed this week alone —- honestly I think I could truly do it with my eyes closed at this point..

My 6 dogs looking at me like 👀 don’t you dare… 😅

Maynooth to Mapleleaf, Combermere to Barry’s Bay through Madawaska 😎 I live for these mobile nail routes.

There is something cathartic about long summer drives, lots of dog/kitty breath, toe nails flying and happy tippy taps when we’re all done, it just makes my heart flutter.

Weird? Yes. Do I care? Not one bit 😙

Animals like my weirdness. Humans?… well, most don’t seem to mind at least.

🐾 Today over 790 nails were trimmed between more than 40 dogs and cats! Zig-zagging through townships like some kind of paw-dicure parade. From Maynooth to Wilberforce, Cardiff through Paudash and Bancroft.

Sunshine, sass, and a whole lot of toe beans — it was the kind of wonderfully chaotic day, only a mobile nail trim route can deliver 😅💅🐾

I managed to snap adorable photos of almost everyone… a few shy ones dodged the camera, but I promise they were just as cute 🐶🐱

Huge thanks to all my clients (both human and furry) for a fantastic day, I’m exhausted in the best way 💛💤

🚙 This Friday’s route runs from Maynooth to Madawaska and everywhere in between! If your furball’s toes are tapping, you know who to call 😉🐾

🌲While fireworks are fun for some, they can be deeply distressing for our pets. Sudden loud noises and bright flashes often trigger fear, anxiety, and even panic in animals.

🐾 This weekend, please keep your pets safe:

🐶 Keep them home & indoors – A quiet, familiar space is best.

🔒 Secure your home & yard – Scared pets may bolt. Double check all exits.

🎵 Drown out the noise – Try white noise, calming music, or the TV.

🧸 Create a cozy den – A crate or quiet space with familiar comforts can help.

🌿 Try calming aids – Pet Safe pheromone sprays, anxiety wraps, or vet-approved supplements can make a big difference.

✨While beautiful to watch, fireworks can negatively affect not just pets, but wildlife, the environment, and even our sense of peace; especially here in cottage country 🏕️

Of course, everyone is free to celebrate how they choose, but if you’re looking for alternatives this year, try a bonfire, stargazing, sparklers or simply enjoying outdoor time with loved ones; our furry and feathered friends will thank you for it 🐕🌲🫎🦌🦅🦉🦝🐿️🐺

🚧 Dog yard for the boarding centre is getting closer to full on tail-wagging territory.

Had three of my favourite gals in for their summer trims today 🌲☀️🐾✂️!

While the heat outside had us all melting, the lodge stayed nice and cool — just the way we like it (especially me 😂)
