Ending the year by sharing the pet portraits and wildlife art I’ve had the pleasure of drawing in 2024. It’s been a busy year for commissioned work (I schedule commissions to spread throughout the year) and a huge thank you has to go to all my wonderful customers for your support and trust in me as an artist. Thank you also to followers of my art for all your continued support and encouragement … every purchase, comment, like, follow and share has been very much appreciated. I feel so grateful that I can sit here planning for another year ahead full of art, doing what I love and it’s all thanks to you beautiful people.

The COUNTDOWN is on! Just a little less than a week until this year Maple Ridge & Pitt Meadows Art Studio Tour, and I’M READY! 🤪

I have lots of art work to show, including my two feature pieces this year, “Romeo & Juliet”, of two loving red foxes, and a large 16” x 22” powerful silverback gorilla, “Mighty”. There are original wildlife pieces, prints, and, of course, art cards available, as well as a framed example of a pet portrait commission.

Unveiling my newest piece, #10 in my wildlife series, Wild Attitudes. “Mighty”, 16” x 22”, pastel, will be exhibited during Maple Ridge & Pitt Meadows Art Studio Tour on May 11 & 12 from 10am - 4pm. It will be available as an original, canvas prints, and art cards.

This pastel piece was such a joy to create … I love the dramatic lighting, defined facial shape, and intensity of the eyes. 😁. I’d love for you to come and check it out in person. I will be sharing my artwork at the South Bonson Community Centre in Pitt Meadows.

I am busy getting ready for this year’s Maple Ridge & Pitt Meadows Art Studio Tour doing finishing details on my large, feature piece, a 16” x 22” silverback gorilla. The Tour takes place Saturday and Sunday, May 11 & 12.

I just love making large wildlife pieces with such a variety of textures, especially with dramatic lighting, while creating the essence and soul of the animal. 🥹
