👩‍💻Am I posting a lot today ?? Maybe. But what kind of a facebook lady would I be if I didn’t give you a glimpse of allllllll the cuties you could be meeting this weekend at our open houses!!! I wanted to shine the KP spotlight back on Lewis for a minute , as he has officially passed his 6 month milestone of being at Katie’s Place…

🩵You might look at his face and think … “He’s handsome ?? He knows Mitosis ?!!! How has he not been adopted yet?!?!”. The reason is that he tends to be quite a bashful fella, and he isn’t a big fan of our busy open houses! Often times people will visit without even having caught a glimpse of him.

🐾While he may not show this side of himself to people right away , he is a curious and loving baby who likes to be close to you. He has a clean bill of health and uses his litter box well , like the little gentleman he is !!! A kitty friend in Lewis’ future home is a 100% must as he loves spending time with other cats.

🐈While we can’t guarantee you’ll see him on your first visit , we can guarantee that if someone gives him the chance he will show you his sweet purrsonality. Lewis would love a quiet home with a cat savvy family, preferably no young children.

🏡Looking for a bright and sunny young companion ?? Cirelli is your the one youve been looking for !!! Cirelli has overcome incredible difficulty, rising above a tough start in life where he endured living as an unfixed outdoor cat, weathered and worn, until he was surrendered and found refuge with us.

🐾He was adopted out at one point but was sadly returned as he wasn’t getting along with the resident cat. Aside from needing to be the center of attention and an only fur child, he is a sweet boy with impeccable manners. He uses his litter box flawlessly and has no health concerns!!

✨He has lived with children before and was very gentle and playful with them. He would make an outstanding family cat !! He is only 2-3 years old and has a lot of good years ahead of him that he can hopefully spend in an adoring home.

💚‼️PIPER AND NARENGI’S STORY - Three years ago, these two courageous girls arrived from the Afghanistan evacuation, bringing with them a remarkable resilience forged through adversity. Though their past experiences may have been marked by hardship and trauma, it's clear they're capable of profound growth and healing. With time, patience, and care, they're learning to trust and thrive. They are still wary of touch, but now approach us with cautiousness and curiosity, even touching their noses to our fingers! They enjoy being around people and are inseparable. They must be adopted together ***.

🧡🤍Piper (Torti calico female) is now 5 years old and is the braver one. She gets nighttime zoomies and loves to run around. She is FIV positive but asymptomatic, with no other health concerns. She uses her litter box well.

🩶🤎🤍Narengi (Orange stumpy tail female) loves napping and is always snuggled up to Piper. She is 6 years old, calm, and down-to-earth, with gorgeous green/blue eyes. She uses her litter box well

🐾After 3 years with us, it's time for them to find a safe, loving home. They need a cat-savvy family in a quiet environment, preferably with no children. They get along with other cats and can live with kitty companions.

✨They are eligible for our permanent foster program, covering their medical bills as long as they're brought to our vet. We hope someone will see past their shy exterior and give them a second chance. Please come visit them in Shirley’s Spot on Saturday and Sunday from 12-2!!

ADOPTION PENDING - 😍Be still my beating heart …. If I didn’t have 5 already she’d be coming home with me. Lil Kim is perfect and someone is going to be extremely lucky to have her !!!

❣️At 17 years old she was surrendered to us when her owner was moving across the province. Despite her new surroundings she showcased her cool calm and collected personality right off the bat!!! She is extremely friendly and loves to be pet and brushed.

🌷She has had a recent vet check and bloodwork done and she has a clean bill of health !! She is also eligible for our permanent foster program , meaning we will cover her vet bills as long as she is brought to our vets.

💘She co exists peacefully with her roomies but would probably like to be an only child. Who wouldn’t want to live out their golden years being the centre of attention !!! She uses her litter box well and is a tried and true lap cat at heart. Come meet this stunner in the Main Pen this weekend from 12-2pm Saturday and Sunday!!!

💜Little Miss Mercedes is STILL available for adoption !!! We’re thrilled that the extra 1 on 1 time in foster care has empowered this stunning girl to flourish while she waits for her forever home. She has made great strides and now loves being pet!!

🐾She’s only 1.5 years old but in her short life she has already experienced motherhood. While all of her babies have gone off to furrever homes , Mercedes is still waiting for that perfect fit !! She is quite a social butterfly and she gets along well with cats and dogs. For her future home , there must be another fur sibling in it for her to frolick with !!!

🌞She has no health concerns and uses her litter box well. While her foster parents adore her , they are disheartened to see that nobody has shown interest in this bright and bubbly girl… Were hoping that someone looking for a friendly young companion will see this post and fall head over heels !!!

ADOPTION PENDING - 🩵Two weekends ago, we had the privilege of welcoming a young Siamese Oriental Shorthair cross into our care. Despite being surrendered due to alleged aggression, we've been thrilled to discover a scared but gentle soul instead.

🐈‍⬛Sakari, a four-year-old gem, has blossomed into a sweet and bashful companion, defying all expectations of aggression. Shelter life has presented its challenges for him however , and he spends most of his time hiding in his single despite having access to the whole room and patio. He is a little dejected right now , but we know that he will brighten up once he finds a loving furrever home !!!

✌🏼He has no health concerns aside from being a picky eater and needing to put on some weight. We know that with a soft approach and some patience , he will
learn to trust and love again !! A quiet home is preferred for Sakari , so far he gets along with other cats but does seem a bit scared of them.

💙We are committed to working with Sakari to help him feel safe and loved. In the mean time feel free to message us for more info, or stop by to visit him in Joeys Place Saturday and Sunday from 12-2pm!!!

New duo alert ‼️‼️ Penny and Michelle have arrived and they’re already winning everyone over 😍 Sadly their owner moved out of province and left them behind… Which is how they came to be with us. Both are 12 years old but are quite spry , they also MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER ****

💚Michelle (Long hair dilute tortoiseshell) - This pretty lady is as sweet on the inside as she is on the outside !!! She loves to snuggle , but her most favourite activity is being brushed !!! She will sit in your lap and let you brush her for hours if you’ve got the time !!!

💜Penny (Short hair Brown tabby) - She is super friendly and loves people , although she does play hard to get at first and can be a little aloof !! She likes to be close by to the action without getting tooooo involved in it. She does have hyperthyroidism for which she receives medication twice a day !!

🐾Due to Pennys medical condition , this duo is eligible for permanent foster. Meaning we will cover all of their medical as long as they are brought to our vets. Both of these girls use the litter box well and have great manners !!! They would love a quiet home to live out their golden years in, together of course !!! Come meet this dynamic duo in Joeys place this weekend Saturday and Sunday from 12-2pm!!

🏡These two besties embody what Katie’s Place is all about. Our beloved boys pen residents who have been with us for about a year have now gone off to their furrever home !! Their new mom accepts them for who they are and can’t wait to provide them with a happy and stable future.

🐈‍⬛Fonda came to us two weeks ago when her owner could no longer care for her. She remained shy and cautious at first , but loved to be pet !! This sweet and gentle girl won over her new family and has gone off to join KP alumnus Fenton as his new sister.
