🚴♀️ 150km over 2 Days - Done! 🚴♀️
This weekend I took on the MS Bike Tour: 75km each day through Windsor, Gaspereau, and Wolfville. With the support of many of you our team of five riders raised over $30000.00 to go toward MS research.
This was a ride that reminded me loud and clear that my body is way stronger than my brain sometimes thinks it is.
Day 1 was full of hills that challenged me both physically and mentally, but every sweet downhill felt like a gift, and the views at the top were absolutely breathtaking and worth every climb. My team, The Cycleholics, cheered and sang each other along the whole way, making the ride as fun as it was tough.
Day 2 had a slightly different course, but I still wasn’t sure how far I could go. On the night of day 1, I messaged of .endurance , worried about tackling another day. She reminded me: “It’s all a process. Enjoy it for what it is, and learn what you can from the experience.”
I started with that mindset on day 2 and to my surprise, I went the whole way. There were moments when the air was still, the scenery was beautiful, and I remembered how much I truly enjoy riding. And then… crossing the finish line to see my child, my husband, and my dog waiting for me made it all worth it.
As someone who lives in a full-bodied frame, I’ve often taken myself out of things I thought I couldn’t do. This weekend was proof that I can. And I did. 💪❤️
