Tick are already showing up....yuck!

I loved this photoshoot so much—we stayed right along the beach, which can be absolutely magical in the winter. Just a quick safety note: please don’t climb on the snow mountains. While they look harmless, there can be hidden, life-threatening dangers beneath the surface.

STORY TIME

SURPRISE IN THE SOCK BOX
I was cat-sitting for the sweetest little indoor cat—an absolute love bug. Every day when I arrived, she’d come running to the door to greet me, ready for our daily cuddle session. It became our little routine.

But one day, she didn’t show up.

Instant panic. My heart dropped. She always came to the door. I rushed inside, calling her name, worried something had happened. Then I heard it—a soft, muffled “meow,” followed by another. I followed the sound into the living room, and there she was… tucked inside a sock box under the end table, looking like she was stuck. As I gently pulled the box out to help her, I heard a tiny squeak—but it didn’t come from her.

My first thought: Please don’t let this be a mouse… I carefully lifted her out, and then I heard it—a high-pitched, unmistakable newborn “meow.” She was having kittens. Right there. One of them was born right in front of me.

Total shock. Turns out, she had been keeping a secret from all of us—including her owners! But as it turns out, there was one night she managed to slip out the door. They found her the next morning under a car… alongside a very smug-looking orange tomcat. And, well, the rest is history.

Now, Mama and her four adorable kittens are doing great, and the owners are seeking loving homes for the little ones.
