Looking to add some vibrant color and charm to your aquarium? The German Blue Ram is a fantastic choice! Here's everything you need to know about this beautiful and popular fish:

𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨: The Orinoco River Basin in South America (Venezuela and Colombia)

𝐒𝐢𝐳𝐞: Typically grows up to 2 inches (5 cm)

𝐓𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞: 78°F to 84°F (25°C to 29°C)

𝐩𝐇: 5.5 to 7.5 (slightly acidic to neutral)

𝐃𝐢𝐞𝐭: Omnivore (will eat flakes, pellets, and live/frozen foods)

𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞:
The German Blue Ram is renowned for its striking appearance, with shimmering blue and yellow hues that make them stand out in any tank. The males usually have a more intense blue coloring, and they often display extended fins, giving them an elegant look.

𝐓𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐒𝐢𝐳𝐞: A 20-gallon tank is suitable for a pair.

𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲: German Blue Rams are sensitive to poor water quality, so it's crucial to maintain good filtration and water changes.

𝐓𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬: These peaceful fish do well with other non-aggressive species, such as tetras, small catfish, and peaceful livebearers. Avoid housing them with larger or overly aggressive fish.
