This is an important read: A veterinarian at a recent veterinary conference has raised alarming concerns about the rampant corporate takeover of the veterinary industry. She reports that veterinarians are inundated with weekly calls from corporations and private equity firms seeking to buy their practices. This aggressive pursuit is drastically driving up the cost of veterinary care and adversely affecting patient services.

"I want to tell you about a conversation that I had with another vet while I was at the conference. This vet, she's the owner of a six-doctor practice. The practice has been in business for over 75 years. She is only the second owner, so it's always been owned by an individual, and she and her husband own it now, and it's a very successful practice.

What she told me is that she's getting older and she's starting to think about retirement, and she has probably eight or ten more years of being in practice. And after I asked her, I said, are people bombarding you? Are corporations bombarding you to buy your practice? And she said, yes, they are. It's constantly, every single week, she has multiple corporations that are approaching her with great offers to buy her practice. And she said what the problem is, is that this practice is worth a lot of money, and the corporations will pay more for my practice than anyone else. And she said, when I go to sell this practice, I would be willing to take a loss to be able to sell the practice to an individual instead of a corporation.

But she said my friend actually just did that. She took a loss for the value of her practice and sold her practice to an individual. And then the individual that she sold her practice to for a loss, basically flipped her practice like you flip a house. That individual only owned her practice for two months, and then she resold the practice to a corporation and was able to make a considerable profit after only owning it for two months.

So this is a huge problem in the veterinary industry. When I'm at this conference with all of these very boutique, artisan, amazing veterinarians that are so passionate about what they do, the biggest thing that they talk about is this corporate takeover of the veterinary industry. Mars now owns so many of the vets, so many of the ERs, and now animal insurance companies. So it's just steamrolling the industry and it really affects the patient care and every step of the process.

So what can you do about it as a consumer? Seek out veterinary hospitals that are owned by an individual. Call them, ask them who owns them. Because the only way that we will change this situation is if the consumer becomes more knowledgeable about the process and gravitates toward veterinary practices that are owned by individuals, so that they're not worth as much money to corporations anymore. This is what we all have to do together, is to support small businesses and small practitioners in order to have better patient care, better outcomes, and more passionate veterinarians that aren't a slave to the corporate industry."

(copy) -🐾 THE VET INDUSTRY SCAM
Poisoning Our Pets for Profit, One Shot at a Time
They claim to care for animals. They wear the white coats, hang certificates, and smile sweetly while examining your dog. But behind the scenes, most veterinarians today are not in the healing business they’re in the sickening business.
The truth is shocking:
Veterinary medicine has become a mirror of Big Pharma’s grip on human health.
Only this time, it’s your beloved pet who pays the ultimate price.
💉 OVERVACCINATION = LIFETIME CUSTOMER
Let’s start with the vaccine racket. One of the most criminally negligent and flat-out dangerous parts of veterinary care.
• All dogs, regardless of weight or breed often receive the exact same dose of vaccines.
• A 5 lb Chihuahua and a 120 lb Great Dane? Same vial, same amount, same frequency.
• Many shots are repeated yearly, despite studies showing immunity from a single shot can last up to 7+ years, or even for life.
And the side effects?
They’ll tell you it’s “just a coincidence” when your dog:
• Develops seizures
• Loses mobility
• Has an allergic reaction
• Becomes aggressive or withdrawn
• Gets cancer near the injection site
• Suddenly “ages” overnight
This isn’t rare. It’s routine. And it’s intentional ignorance at best — pharmaceutical corruption at worst.
💊 THE PRESCRIPTION TRAP
Veterinarians are trained to reach for drugs first just like human doctors. And not because it’s best for your pet, but because it keeps the money flowing.
• Steroids that suppress symptoms while wrecking immunity
• NSAIDs that cause liver and kidney damage
• Antibiotics handed out like candy — killing gut flora and weakening the immune system
• Monthly preventatives for parasites that come with neurological and long-term damage risks
It’s a pill for every symptom.
And when your dog gets sicker from the treatment?
They sell you another pill. Another test. Another bill.
💸 FOLLOW THE MONEY
The same pharmaceutical giants that bribe human doctors also bankroll veterinary schools.
They write the textbooks.
They fund the research.
They sponsor the seminars.
Vet students are indoctrinated into a system that sees animals as repeat customers, not sacred companions.
Your dog isn’t a patient. He’s a walking revenue stream.
🐶 GUILT & FEAR-BASED TACTICS
They prey on your love. They guilt you into:
• Overvaccinating
• Overmedicating
• Buying overpriced prescription food full of corn, soy, and chemicals
• Submitting to unnecessary surgeries or expensive diagnostics that don’t change the outcome
All under the threat of:
“If you don’t do this, your pet might die.”
Fear is their favorite sales tactic.
🧬 WHERE’S THE REAL PREVENTION?
True health comes from:
• Species-appropriate diets (raw, organic, grain-free)
• Clean water
• Exercise, sun, and grounding
• Toxin-free environments
• Minimal interference from synthetic chemicals
But you won’t hear that from most vets.
Because real wellness doesn’t generate return visits.
🛑 NOT ALL VETS ARE BAD - BUT MOST ARE BOUND
There are amazing holistic vets out there, but they’re few and far between. The majority are trapped in the same system of:
• Licensing threats
• Pharmaceutical partnerships
• Corporate pressure
• Fear of losing their practice if they speak out
It’s not just a broken system. It’s a captured one.
🔥 FINAL WORD: PROTECT YOUR PET LIKE YOU PROTECT YOURSELF
If you’ve awakened to the corruption in human medicine, understand this:
They’re doing the exact same thing to our animals.
Only now, the victims can’t speak for themselves.
It’s up to you to:
• Question every vaccine, pill, and recommendation
• Research before you say yes
• Seek out holistic care or natural alternatives
• Treat your dog’s body like your own sacred temple
Because once you lose your dog to a bad reaction or misdiagnosis, you can’t undo it.
Love isn’t just cuddles and walks. It’s protection, advocacy, and truth.

Hello: I have a retired Chinese Crested powderpuff lady looking for a loving forever home. Sophie is a Canadian champion and is now done with her motherly duties. Sophie LOVES people, never met a stranger she doesn’t like however she is not fond of dogs she doesn’t know (she loves them once she knows them). She is very affectionate but not the type of girl you can take at a dog park. She loves everything you are doing. Sophie is now clipped in a “pony clip”, her fur is non shedding and would grow long (like a mini Afghan). Sophie will be available to join her loving family at the end of January, after her spay surgery. She is 3 1/2 years old. If interested please pm me :)

I have a 9 years old Chinese Crested Powderpuff female that needs rehoming, her name is Joy.
Her first owners passed away so she was returned to me at 6 years old. A young girl adopted her, there’s a smaller female dog in the household and they are no longer getting along. Joy is constantly attacking the smaller female. Joy needs to be the only dog, large back yard is a must as she is very active, loves to run and go for walks. Great with kids and people, male dogs are ok. If anyone would like an older dog to love please message me.
