Meet our judge - Kathryn Kaiser! 🐾
Looking forward to a great weekend of agility! AAC July 12-13 2025 Trial

A note from Kathryn:
This is a picture just after these two dogs qualified for the 2011 Nationals. I chose this because it represents a major highlight in my agility career. I haven’t changed much over the years, just got a little grayer and fatter and more wrinkly.
My husband and I started agility in Sept 2001. He had adopted The Dog From Hell and needed something to turn her around, or it was back to the humane society and possible euthanasia. I was into CKC obedience, but had heard of agility. So we signed up for classes. Quickly this dog became great in agility, and my husband’s heart dog. Agility saved this dog’s life, and became our life.

Why did I become a judge? I took a class that taught us how to play Snooker and Gamblers. During the course we took turns judging each other. I decided this was fun, so I signed up for the first available judge’s clinic. I totally blame my instructor for this.

I’ve been a judge since 2008, and a Masters judge since 2017. This has shown me a side of agility I wouldn’t see otherwise. I have a broader and deeper view of the sport. It is a privilege to represent the AAC and be a part of handlers achieving titles and ATChCes, but most of all make it possible for people to play with their dogs.
