It may be difficult to remember all the times of joy you had with your pet, especially during the holidays when we miss them the most and feel so much grief. I know, personally, how healing it can be to remember the moments with your pets that made you laugh or brought you and your family joy.
So today I encourage you to take some time to be alone or be with a loved one. Look through those photos of the pets you are missing. Laugh. Cry. Remember. They were a part of your life for a reason and those memories can help us to "be with them" again, even if for a moment in our memory. We will and can heal from our grief as we learn to experience joy, even through our sadness.
