Taking a picture with 4 dogs is very difficult, and one of us forgot the treat pouch

Riley has a lot of issues with resource guarding, and this includes humans. We are making strides in her training.

Group walks are becoming the norm for her.

Do you have a reactive dog and need help?

Riley is on day 3 and feeling a lot more comfortable.

Riley is known to resource guard, whether it be people, food, furniture, all of it. Its typically an insecurity issue.

While I work on showing her stability and security, I also need to work on the resource guarding.

Since Riley is known to guard treat pouches, we are starting the resrouce guarding training with no more dropped leash and lots of praise. We are interrupting any guarding she is about to do.

A good indicator to use body language. For example, Riley gets tight lipped, whale eye, and she moves her ears into a tight position on her head.

Here we have Heidi and Riley next to each other. She did not want Heidi coming onto the couch, but i sternly redirected her and then gave her a lot of vocal praise

Welcome our new foster, Riley!

Riley is a foster dog through Herd About Rescue.

She is 2 years old and will be working on some quirks and her resource guarding.
