A Letter From the Heart: Living the Dream & Thanking My Village 🐾
Hey everyone,
I’m sitting here writing this with actual tears in my eyes, feeling incredibly overwhelmed with gratitude. I was looking back recently and realized something crazy: I don’t think everyone truly knows just how deep my love for this job goes, or how far back it runs.
Before I opened the shop, I started out at the SPCA when I was just 14 years old. I was so young my mom literally had to sign a piece of paper promising she’d get me to and from work! I stayed there until I was 18, and from that moment on, I knew my life’s purpose was to be a voice and a caretaker for animals. I’ve been grooming professionally since 2009, and honestly? I am living my absolute dream every single day.
Everything I do, both inside the shop and out in my personal life, revolves around animals. I have a massive soft spot in my heart for all living things. I don't do this job for the money—I do it because I get to take a sweet, scruffy pup and make them look and feel absolutely fabulous.
Why My Prices Haven't Changed (And My Promise to You)
Here is a little secret: to this day, I am still charging my clients the exact same rate that my grooming school used to charge people for student grooms all those years ago.
We all know times are tough right now. Inflation is hitting everyone hard. But my priority has always been, and will always be, the well-being of your fur babies and taking care of the people who support me. If you are ever struggling with a budget or experiencing financial hardship, please talk to me. Do not skip your dog's care out of worry. We can always work out a payment plan or find a solution together. I am here for you.
You Are My Family
You all have been so incredibly patient with me through so much. You stood by me as I welcomed new additions to my growing family. You carried me through a terrifying health scare when I had to take a month away from the tub. And when I’ve lost my own precious pets, you showed up at my door with flowers, cards, and open arms.
Let's get real: you aren't just clients to me anymore. You are my family. I care about every single one of you, and I will love and protect your pets until their last breath, or mine.
I am so incredibly blessed to wake up every morning excited to go to work. And I couldn't do it without the most incredible, dedicated staff by my side, and the most loyal clientele a girl could ever ask for.
