I think this might be the last batch of boa babies for this Season. This litter wasn't anything big, but it was fathered by my sons first snake, a possible Super Sunglow 50% pos het Anery bred to a Ghost pos het Albino... the female proved put, the male I don't think so, given there was only one Anery (a ghost, actually) in the batch of 29 live/healthy babies. I believe the Ghost to be a parthenogentic copy of mom. Nice, healthy litter of Hypos/Super Hypos and Sunglows/Super Sunglows.

First litter of 2024 is here... this one was a bit of a surprise, as I missed ovulation and she didn't have a traditional post OV shed. I had a feeling something was cooking, but I expected a mostly infertile litter late June. Quite the surprise today to find 12 healthy babies and 4 slugs from this first time mom. She's actually my daughter's hold back from 2019 (Sunglow Motley pos het Anery). The sire was an IMG Anery het Kahl Albino... final result to feed seen after a shed or two, but I'm happy with what we have here...

Given the 2024 baby season is fast approaching, I need to make some room in the hold back collection. I really love Scorias... so variable in colour! I'm going to let a few ✈️✈️

I was waiting for this one (ovulation)... first year breeding my 2018 Scoria possible het Kahl Albino. I paired her with my holdback 2021 Kahl Sunglow Motley. This is selective breeding, not popular vote... my sounding stock have always been carefully chosen for genetic diversity and quality. I'm looking forward to seeing the outcome of this pairing...
