Hey Regina folks,
Have you tried to ride public transit recently? Turns out new Regina regulations means you need to have your dog registered or be denied. But then how do you show it’s registered? What if your not from the city? And what does it take to be “registered” because apparently they are trying to regulate what deems a Service Dog, based on a arbitrary list of trainers not published. If you are in Regina, your rights with a SD are slowly being stripped away without your knowledge. I encourage you to all call the City and ask.
Edit: they are working on fixing and clarifying this, and you are encouraged to report any denied access to the city, i have pointed out concerns that are had and the ID is just supposed to make it easier but the requirements to get one are showing paperwork they do not need on file. Do not send then anything, if you want to show them, go in and show but they should not keep your records
Here is a good reference for Saskatchewan law so compare what they say with this
