Most owners think a fast eater is just a “hungry dog,” but it’s actually a major health risk. When a dog “inhales” their food, they swallow massive amounts of air, making their stomach heavy and unstable.

The Double Threat: If a dog with a heavy, air-filled stomach starts running or playing right after they eat, that stomach can swing and literally flip over. This is a life-threatening emergency called Bloat (GDV).

✹ The Solution: Ditch the bowl! Use a Lick Mat or puzzle to force a slower pace.

✹ The Rule: No heavy exercise 1 hour before or 2 hours after any meal.

Plusieurs pensent qu’un chien qui mange vite est simplement « gourmand », mais c’est un risque grave. En avalant tout rond, le chien ingĂšre de l’air, ce qui rend son estomac lourd et instable.

Le double danger : Si un chien dont l’estomac est plein d’air commence Ă  courir ou Ă  jouer juste aprĂšs avoir manger, l’estomac peut se balancer et littĂ©ralement se retourner. C’est une urgence mortelle appelĂ©e retournement d’estomac.

✹ La solution : Oubliez le bol ! Utilisez un Lick Mat ou un casse-tĂȘte pour ralentir la cadence.

✹ La rùgle : Pas d’exercice intense 1 heure avant ou 2 heures aprùs le repas.

We’re hopping into the long weekend! Just a quick reminder of our holiday hours so you can plan your pup’s stay accordingly:

✹ Easter Weekend: We will be closed for regular daycare and services. ✹ Boarding Drop-offs: You can still drop off your dog for their holiday stay! ✹ Pick-ups: All pick-ups will be scheduled for Monday.

We want to ensure our team (and our furry guests) have a peaceful weekend, so please make sure to coordinate your timings with us in advance.
