Good morning everyone! 🦎
Apologies for the lack of presence on social media these last few months. Both of our Meta accounts were hacked at the end of 2024, but as of this morning we have finally gotten back into our Facebook!
As we still do not have any way into our Instagram, and Meta seems to be unable to help us any further, we ask that you all please reach out only through this account or by calling the store directly (519-967-9118) until further notice. Additionally, we ask that anyone with a Instagram profile, to please report our compromised account the_vivarium so that we may hopefully get this resolved.
The eventual plan will be to get another Instagram account up and running for those who prefer that platform. We will make another announcement here when that time comes.
We have begun to reach out to the backlog of people who sent us messages, and I hope to get to everyone as soon as possible! If we miss your older messages please go ahead and reach out again so to ensure you aren't missed in the chaos.

Brent and I wanted to thank you all for your understanding, and unwavering support to our little Ess*x-County reptile community, and we hope to keep serving you well into the future.

Today is a very special day for the team at The Vivarium as we celebrate our patriarch Brent's birthday (the number of which I am contractually obligated not to say)! 🎉

Over the last 15 years, you've taken this place from its humble beginnings to turn it into a hub for reptile enthusiasts all over Ess*x County. Thank you for all you do. The Vivarium wouldn't be the same without you.

We're a bit late with this post, but we wanted to give a huge thank you to our friends and for guiding us through this incredible build for our Gidgee Skink (Egernia stokesii.)
This habitat is put together using ZooMed Excavator Clay. A product that allows you to build backgrounds, basking ledges, caves, tunnels, & nearly anything else you can think of for your arid and desert species such as Bearded Dragons, Leopard Geckos, K**b Tail Geckos, & Uromastyx.

Aren't they just adorable!

White's Tree Frogs (Litoria caerulea) are amongst the most charismatic amphibians on this planet. With an average adult size of 4 inches, keepers of this species love them for their relatively easy care requirements, high activity levels, bright colours, and immense appetites!
We currently have 6 of these little firecrackers available now, so feel free to check them out before they hop into their new homes. 🐸

The Mexican Black Kingsnake, (Lampropeltis getula nigrita) is a medium sized colubrid which calls the rocky outcrops of the Sonoran, Mexican and Arizona desert home.
This animal gets the name "King Snake" from it's strong feed response where they will take on small rodents, birds, lizards and other snakes. This drive to eat makes them great captives as they almost never turn down a meal.

There are currently 4 of these incredible little animals in store, so feel free to swing by and get a closer look! 🐍
