What an Incredible Week!

A huge thank you to Omar Zayrik for an amazing five days of coaching at the BC Dressage High Performance Technical Advisor Clinic! It was a great opportunity to learn, refine, and push our skills to the next level.

A special thank you to the organizers, .silo, owners .edwards, grooms and everyone behind the scenes who made this clinic a success. The dedication and passion from each rider were truly inspiring—I can’t wait to see the progress continue!

Understanding the Difference: Dressage Masterclasses, Symposiums & Clinics ✨

We’ve been getting some questions lately about the difference between a masterclass, symposium, and clinic and what do they really mean? 🤔🐴

💼 Masterclass:

A masterclass is where a top-level rider or trainer works with selected horses and riders in front of an audience. It’s all about demonstrating training techniques and fine-tuning performances at a high level. These are great if you want to see how the pros handle specific challenges and elevate their rides. It’s a bit more “watch and learn” focused.

📚 Symposium:

Think of a symposium as a big dressage conference. It’s usually a couple of days, combining talks, demonstrations, and even panel discussions from judges, trainers, and riders. You’ll get a deep dive into dressage theory, training strategies, and the latest insights in the sport. It's perfect for professionals and for amateurs wanting to expand their understanding from multiple angles.

🎯 Clinic:
Clinics are where the magic happens for riders! You get hands-on training with a coach who’s there to give you personalized feedback and help you improve. Whether you're riding or auditing, clinics are all about individual development, focusing on real-time learning and progression.

Each type of event brings something special to the table. Whether you're a rider or spectator, you’ll always walk away with new knowledge and inspiration. 💪

We are so excited to be hosting the Daniel Bachmann Andersen Masterclass this Saturday, September 14th!

Here’s what you need to know:

- **Doors open at 9:30 AM**, welcome introductions 10:15AM and the first riders start at 10:30 AM. We’ll have chairs and bleachers, if you wish bring cushions or blankets for extra comfort.

- **Check-In**: Please bring your printed ticket/proof of purchase or provide the name under which the tickets were bought.

- **Parking**: Follow the signs to the secondary lot. Since we’re expecting a full house, carpooling is greatly appreciated.

- **Lunch**: Enjoy food trucks from Dutchalicious and Little Miss Coffee.

- **Schedule**: Riders will showcase training through Grand Prix levels—it’s going to be an incredible day!

We still have a few spots available to make mistakes while they’re cheap! White fences will be set August 10th-11th for schooling, and test practice!
