Dr. Hermen Geertsema passed away unexpectedly in October 2023 in Langley, British Columbia. He was born in 1966 in Kantens, the Netherlands to Jakob and Anneke Geertsema. He immigrated to Canada with his parents and siblings as a young boy and grew up in various towns and provinces across Canada. His wife, children, grandchildren, siblings, and friends are deeply saddened by their loss. He loved people deeply and was so proud of his family. A man of ideas and energy, he practised veterinary medicine for nearly thirty years in the Fraser Valley and began ranching in 2020 in addition to his practice and other projects. He was a great outdoorsman and loved hunting and guiding. Relationships were very important to Hermen and he made friends everywhere he went. While he will be sorely missed by family and friends, we know that he is Home.
