Update: THANK YOU to everyone who donated and shared. We have exceeded our storage for cat food. It was incredible. For those wanting to still donate you can do so through our Zeffy and we can purchase when in need again. Or we welcome dog food and cat litter too. Thank you so much again!!!

💔 We’re in a tough spot…

Our Pet Food Bank has completely run out of dry adult cat food and only have a few bags of kitten, and the need in our community is growing faster than we can keep up. So many local families are struggling right now, and we hate the thought of any cat going hungry.

Meet Dottie 💕
Estimated DOB: Sept 25, 2024

This gorgeous medium-haired Torbie was found outside caring for her four babies — barely a kitten herself, she was an incredible mom and is now ready for a forever family to love her in return.

Dottie started off shy but has blossomed into a cuddly sweetheart with a big purr motor! She loves to curl up on your chest or shoulder, enjoys Churu tubes and Temptation treats, and makes the cutest little chirps when she plays. Wand toys with feathers are her favourite!

Dottie gets along beautifully with other cats and the small dog in her foster home. She’d do best in an adult-only or cat-savvy home and would love a gentle kitty or friendly dog companion.

Dottie was recently diagnosed with HCM (a heart condition) but has no symptoms and doesn’t require medication at this time. With regular vet checkups and lots of love, she’s expected to live a long, happy life.

She’s litter-trained, adores being brushed, and has the most amazing fluffy tail! Dottie will make a wonderful addition to a patient, loving home — could it be yours?

This gorgeous long haired little Torbie sweetheart is Dottie. Est DOB 9/25/2024

Dottie was found living outside with her four young babies. Barely a kitten herself, she gave everything to help keep her kittens safe and healthy. She has been the absolute best Mom and now it’s her time to find her forever family who will dote on her like she did for her babies.

With not having a lot of human contact in the first months of her life, Dottie has taken a little time to realize humans are kind and that she is safe. Throughout her transition into a pampered indoor princess, Dottie has never shown any signs of being aggressive. She is a gentle lady. While still shy and hesitant at first, she is incredibly sweet and has started purring and making biscuits when you pet her favourite spots. Dottie absolutely loves Churu tubes and Temptation treats. Treats and wand toys with bird feathers are the way to her heart! She makes the cutest chirps when playing! She is still very young and loves to play with her kittens as well. Dottie has been very gentle and curious meeting the resident cats in her foster home.

Dottie would thrive in a loving and patient home-one that understands she may take some time to feel safe and start to show her true personality. She is an interesting mix of shyness and curiosity. Her forever family will be rewarded with an abundance of cuteness and love in return. Dottie would benefit from having another young, playful and friendly cat in her forever home. Her future family should have patience and continue to show her that humans are loving and kind. Dottie has impeccable litter box habits, loves to eat (as she still has some weight to gain) and also loves to be brushed. She has the most amazing fluffy tail!

Dottie is going to be an amazing addition to her new family! Her sweet temperament, playful nature and curiosity -for all an indoor life has to offer, will allow her to continue to blossom in her forever home. Could it be yours?
