'Twas the night before Christmas at the Lodge,
All the paws were tucked in, tails wagging with good cheer.
The rooms were cozy, the lights softly low,
While snowflakes danced gently outside in the glow.

Beds fluffed just right, with blankets galore,
Dreams filled with treats and walks they adore.
From whiskers to wet noses, all snug in their space,
Each pet wrapped in comfort, safety, and grace.

As we tiptoed through with a kiss and a pat,
A scratch for each dog and a cuddle for cats.
With love in each corner and peace in the air,
Christmas Eve magic was everywhere.

Thank you to everyone who shared this post. After several meet and greets Darren and I are thrilled to anounce that Lily has found a wonderful new family to call her own.

Meet Lily ❤️
🐾 Lily is looking for her new forever home

Lily is a beautiful, sweet 4-year-old girl who has stolen the hearts of everyone here during her stay at our lodge. Now, she’s ready to find a loving forever home — and it’s through absolutely no fault of her own.

Her owner, who loves her deeply, is facing a long recovery after an extended hospital stay. With heavy hearts, they made the incredibly difficult decision to rehome Lily, choosing what is truly best for her future. This choice was made with nothing but love and compassion.

Lily is a fun, affectionate companion who adores her walks, playtime, and all the attention she can get. She gets along well with most other dogs but does best without other dominant females.

Her previous home was quiet, with a senior owner and no other pets or children, so we are unsure how she does with children or cats. A meet-and-greet will help determine compatibility.

Adoption Requirements for Lily

To ensure Lily finds the right match, we are looking for a home that can offer:

🐾 A stable, loving environment
Whether calm or active, Lily thrives where she can be included, loved, and have a consistent routine.

🐾 No dominant female dogs
She does well with many dogs, but dominant females are not a good match.

🐾 A meet-and-greet with all household dogs
This helps ensure everyone gets along comfortably.

🐾 A secure yard or safe outdoor plan
She loves walks and outdoor time, so she’ll need safe spaces to stretch her legs and play.

🐾 Patience and time to adjust
Like any dog experiencing change, Lilly will need a gentle, understanding transition into her new home.

🐾 A family willing to assess compatibility with children or cats
Because she has never lived with either, supervised introductions are essential.

🐾 Lily is up todate with her vaccines.

🐾 Lily is a Shepherd/collie mix.

If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will fill your home with joy, Lily may be the perfect match. 💛
