Winter walks with the goats & sheep ❄️🐐🐑

The farm has a bit of a different feel this time of year. The petting farm may be closed for the winter, but our woolly crew is busy exploring frosty pastures, crunching leaves, and going on their little “dates” with the bucks and rams. They’re truly living their best winter life out there. When I can get away from the store and making stuff… this is where you’ll find me. One of my favourite parts of the season!

The farm store is open every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday throughout December. Come shop our unique YPF gifts, fresh local produce, and support small business this holiday season.

Bonus: The returns for an extra weekend on December 13th & 14th!

The petting farm will reopen in March—just in time to meet all the new babies!
See you soon :)

Meet our Farmer’s Favourites 🌾✨

Our team picked the products from our farm store they love most — the things we use, gift, and can’t live without 😉

Farmer Becca
Blueberry leaf tea is her everyday must-have — especially the Blueberry Black and Duke’s Earl Grey. She’s also a jam lover through and through, and enjoys making it from all the fruit they grow on the farm . Her current favourite? Vanilla Fig. But she’s equally obsessed with the Cowboy Candy from our new line of in-house preserves. Elevating those charcuterie boards!

Farmer Jennifer
Jennifer’s heart belongs to our household spa line — a collection she’s poured so much love into. From luxurious body scrubs to all-natural room sprays, she stands behind them all. Her top pick? Spice Grove, our own cozy “thieves” blend bursting with warmth and immune-boosting goodness.

Farmer Siobhan
Wool socks. Every. Single. Day. Her favourite is our 100% local-wool pair — cozy, breathable, and farm-tough. And if she had more time? You’d find her at home knitting with our Babydoll sheep yarn.

Farmer Justin
Garlic is Justin’s true love — he’s drying our own garlic daily to keep you supplied. But this year he’s thrilled about our newest addition: high-quality Niwaki tools. We all use the Hori Hori knife for just about everything, and we can’t wait to put the lightweight, razor-sharp secateurs to work pruning all the blueberries this winter!

Screenshot away, lovelies — and send them to Yellow Point Farms. 🎄😂

It’s jam week at the farm! 💛

After a busy summer picking, sorting, and freezing our blueberries 🫐, we've now been bubbling up big cozy pots of blueberry jam (and other berries, too) in the kitchen to our favourite tunes.

We love seeing the rows of warm jars line up on the counter like little jars of summer all dressed up for the colder months. ❄️

Our fresh batches are now available at the farm store: blueberry, vanilla fig, blackberry, raspberry, and strawberry! They're perfect for toast, gifting, baking, or just spooning straight from the jar (no judgment from us.😋)

Grab a jar when you stop by! Next week, we will have longer store hours since we're participating in the Cedar & Yellow Point Artisans Tour. 🍓🫐 Cedar Yellow Point Artisan Association

Our Story

Yellow Point Farms

BlueBerries - “Yellow Point Blues”

The best tasting, naturally grown blueberries on the island. Find us at Duncan, Cedar, Nanaimo and Qualicum Farm markets throughout the summer.

Our Animals We breed animals for the small acreage homestead. Including registered Nigerian Dwarf goats, Olde English Southdown Babydoll sheep, rare heritage turkeys, and a variety of heritage chickens. Kune Kune Pigs coming soon! Our Farm Our first priority is to have a self-sustaining farmstead, where what we raise pays for itself. It is a bonus when we make money, and so far any money we have raised goes back into the farm. Our ultimate goal is to be as self-sufficient as possible, by growing most of the food we eat. There is nothing more satisfying (not to mention healthy and delicious) than eating a meal entirely raised/grown by yourself. It is our dream for our kids to grow up enjoying the farmlife, playing outside, and knowing where their food comes from.
