Barbie and Stuart got their teeth done today and 😬 all 3 got vaccinated. Re*****on got his teeth checked and he will get done next round.

First things first every morning FEED THE THOROUGHBRED 😅 The rest of the herd has to be by on low sugar hay then there is Valentina the spicy 19 year old ex-racehorse who is a bottomless pit of calories. She sure loves her mashes though. Every morning she’s eyeballing my windows for movement. She wants her breakfast served warm!

Remember the SPCA seizure right next door to us? Well Tanisha and Rheese Kendall were finally sentenced. This is on the heels of being charged with animal cruelty in Saskatchewan as well. Multiple charges in multiple provinces. It’s far from over but we are so grateful to the SPCA and all the vets/specialists who took part in the seizures 🙏

The baby is getting close 💕 This poor girl is so afraid of humans it’s going to be a long road to her trusting people and letting us handle her. It’s very scary to have a baby on the way but we can’t handle her at all and any effort to stresses her out. This is well past the point of her just being wild, it’s clear she’s been mishandled. She’s terrified of loud voices and fast movements. Why would anyone purposely breed a horse like this? This is the meat industry. She was bred with a massive Percheron stud because pound for pound the baby would be heavier and more $. Backyard breeders like this are the main suppliers of horses to the feedlot.
It’s going to take years for Rosey to accept humans and for now we hope her baby comes out the right direction and safely. Any day now!
