There’s still some space in Kitimat’s first ever UpDog trial happening on Canada Day! Whether you’re interested in joining in on the fun or cheering on the teams from the sidelines, Kitimat Working Dog Society would love to see you there!

𝗞𝗪𝗗𝗦 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗱𝗮 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗨𝗽𝗗𝗼𝗴 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻!

We're excited to invite you to our first-ever full-day UpDog trial in the Kitimat area, happening on Canada Day 2025! This one-day event will feature six thrilling games: Frizgility, FunKey, Seven Up, 4 Way Play, Time Warp, and Spaced Out. There will be two divisions, placements for 1st–6th in each game, and overall trial champions for 1st–3rd in each division.

This trial is also part of the Crossover Crown series! Teams who participate in all three disc + agility games (Frizgility, FunKey, and Seven Up) will be eligible for special awards: Crossover Crown Champion and Reserve Champion in each division.

Thanks to Festivals Kitimat and the District of Kitimat, our club has also been invited to provide an exciting showcase during the Canada Day celebrations. This is a fantastic opportunity to share the sport we love with the wider community and highlight the incredible skills of our dogs and handlers in front of a large, engaged audience.

📢 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗱!

With the added visibility of this event and the number of spectators expected, volunteers will be essential to ensure things run smoothly and safely throughout the day. From line judges to data entry, and setup, every helping hand makes a difference. Please consider signing up to volunteer—there’s a section in this form where you can indicate your interest. No experience necessary; we’ll provide guidance and training as needed!
