It is with heavy hearts that we share with you all that Renee, our beloved llama, has passed away.

She was an old gal and lived a wonderful life surrounded by so many loving people and animal friends. She will be deeply missed by all.

Please share your favourite Renee memory with us. We'd love to hear all the stories of the sassiest llama on the farm! 🌱

We are offering a Saturday morning program for children 5-7 years old who are interested in horses. We will spend the morning learning all about our mini horses - Marshmallow, Angel, Gem & Joy!

Introducing Joy & Gem 🐴 🐴

Our two new mini horses joined us recently and they are the sweetest gals! Marshmallow and Angel have happily accepted them into the herd and now when you visit, there are 4 minis in the front pens to greet you!

On this International Women's Day we'd like to acknowledge Dr. Jean Steckle, the woman who made Steckle Farm what it is today. Jean dedicated her life to learning, helping others and creating community. She was an extraordinary woman with many great accomplishments. Thanks to her generosity, we all get to continue to enjoy a farm right in the city.

Wow - After one week of registration opening, more than half of our Agriventure Summer Camp spots are sold out, Little Farmers is close to sold out and our other programs are quickly filling up too!

We are so grateful to each and every one of you who support our little farm. It is inspiring knowing our community values time spent outdoors, learning how a farm works and what it provides us each day & getting closer to the natural world.

We're looking forward to seeing everyone again in the spring! 2025 is going to be amazing, I just know it! 🌱

✨️ Winter Solstice Paper Lantern Workshop ✨️

On December 21st, the winter solstice, come to the farm to create a beautiful paper lantern with willow. We will culminate our evening with a sunset procession to visit our animals in the barn with our glowing lanterns.

This workshop, hosted by will take place in the farmhouse; we will be nice & warm. There will be warm drinks and treats as well

We are a registered charitable organization which operates programs for youth and the community on a heritage designated 15 acre farm in the City of Kitchener. Connect to where your food comes from, educate youth and families with hands on learning experiences, and inspire the Region of Waterloo to appreciate the importance of Agriculture -- this is what we do! We host birthday parties, are a gorgeous space for weddings and corporate events, and run fantastic programs for kids and their families. Come see what we’re all about on an Open Tuesday between May and October, from 3-7pm! Only $5 a family!
