To my amazing clients, I've delayed making this post for nearly a month and a half as I still get very weepy just thinking about making it. However, I've had a lot of clients asking questions like, why's it so quiet? and where's Leroy, I didn't see him in the window/fence today? So I thought I'd better do a post to let folks know.

Unfortunately Leroy got very sick very quickly and we had to lay him to rest March 4th. He lived 15 incredible years and did very well right up until the very end. He was a fabulous doorbell and he was always sure to let clients know if they went to the wrong door their first visit here. We miss him dearly but are forever grateful for the 15 amazing years we had with him. 💕

We hope everyone had a great long weekend! Wow what spectacular weather. 🌞 With the spectacular weather you may have also noticed... It's black fly season! Guess what? Our canine friend's notice too. 🪰🪰🪰

This time of year we start to get lots of panicked calls from pet owners - is it ring worm? Is it infected? The answer is no!

They are little raised bumps that can appear as "bulls eyes" and should start to disappear after 3-4 days all on their own. They're often most noticable on the abdomen and inguinal area where fur is less thick. They can look really nasty, especially when there are a lot in one area (which there often are) but they actually are quite harmless and often times just cause some itching.

Only if your dogs show signs of anaphylactic shock, should you contact your vet urgently. If your dog shows signs of being bothered by the bite, you can treat the area with something cool. This will minimize the swelling and itching but typically they will simply fade away just like for people!

As many of my clients know, my son goes to this amazing school! Without funding and the amazing student bursary that would not be possible for our family! Landmark East teaches children with learning differences and it's amazing to see the progress Gavin has made in less than one school year. As many of my clients know Bosch has had an invisible fence. The one he had was the wired version. It worked great until the wire broke. He was doing fantastic staying in the yard until chicken manure in the field made an appearance. He thinks it's delish 🤢. He however smells terrible after eating it and gets incredibly itchy! We've decided to go the lazy route and replace it with a wireless fence. We chose to go with the Petsafe stay and play. One unit isn't quite enough for where we want to cover. If any of my amazing clients and followers know of a petsafe transmitter or a whole containment system being sold I'd be thrilled to know about it! 😊
