Great day with good friends and fantastic ponies…and raising funds for Saugeen Hospice!

Provincial Championship Equitation was a great class with Danielle Bannerman with Keepin Sundi Good & Verna Lum with Willing to Iron coming away as Finalists 🏅

While we were waiting on results there was some fierce competition going on playing musical chairs too 🤣

In tge afternoon some of our group took advantage of the beautiful day and went for a trail ride. So fun!

Today is our last day of the OQHA Summer Finale - we have Showmanship, Western Riding, Western Pleasure & Horsemanship to go 🤠

So much hard work went into these performances and I couldn’t be more proud of them!

Special mention to barn mate Sarah Donaldson on her top results today and for sharing her positive “No Stress Express” slogan which Jess has made into T-shirts. Love them! (Though there may have been aome stress today 😜 )

We’ve been having a great time at the Ontario Quarter Horse Summer Finsle show with all of our teams coming out with wins and top 5 placings with our first set of judges. 👏

Today the Provincial Championship Classes begin with Showmanship for Clare Roman & Holly (Robinson) Kress. Finishing out the day we have Jessica Mosley-Cairncross and Holly Kress in the Horsemanship. Check out the intricate patterns they have been preparing for below. What a huge opportunity to qualify for this special event and get to perform patterns like this in a big beautuful arena!

These ladies have been hustling - and I can’t wait to watch them give it their all chasing their dreams! 🌟

☀️ What a great horse show this weekend at the Mid Western Horseman’s Summer Spectacular in Clinton at REACH! It was HOT but we made the most of it and had fun and got to spend time with our friends and horses!

The class numbers were excellent and competition strong. Always nice to come home with some prize money too!💰

Home from the OQHA Weekend Roundup Open show. The JMQH crew had a fantastic weekend with many “firsts” - while some are actual first place prizes others were firsts in a different way…competing at a big show, staying overnight, riding a new horse or trying new events. 🤠🥇

I am always grateful to be able to guide these hard working horsewomen in chasing their dreams!
Everyone and came away with their own success - be that prizes or personal best rides - and more homework to keep practicing till the next show.

We are already talking about how we can’t wait to do it again next year! 🐴

Thanks to all of the volunteers who made this such a fabulous event 👏

Day 1 of showing at the OQHA Weekend Roundup is complete!

The JMQH group had some amazing results, great rides and most importantly they are having fun making memories with old and new friends!

Honestly there were an awful lot of first place ribbons among the crew today - definitely too many for my sleepy brain to list. Lots of top placings and succesful rides for our newset riders!

One big highlight though was Jessica Mosley Cairncross with Good To Be Irish winning the Champion buckle for the Level 1 Showdown Trail 🥇

Thank you to OQHA for making this such a fun welcoming experience!

Day 2 tomorrow is English and Ranch events. Good night 😴
