It’s all about energy.

This young dog was nervous and standoffish when we first met, so I used signature approach for reactive dogs: no talk, no touch, no eye contact.

Within two minutes, we were calmly watching the sunrise together.

Moments like this remind me why I love helping dogs and their humans feel safe and understood. 🌅🐾

Dog training never really stops.
When “extra” behaviours pop up, it’s often a sign to go back to basics — just like when you first brought them home.

When Riggs was 7 months old, I went through cancer treatment. Life was chaotic, but he stayed right by my side. I did the best I could with structure, mental stimulation, and small rules — and those little things added up to a balanced dog.

After the holidays, I noticed a few behaviours creeping in. Genetics matter (and I’m grateful for an amazing breeder), but consistency matters too — and December was… not consistent 😅

If your dog feels a little extra lately, this is your reminder:
➡️ Go back to square one.
Basics build balance.
