Should you get your dog a dog ?
A dog trainers perspective:
Yes, maybe!
Yes if:
✅️ You're happy with your dog's level of training
✅️ You have the time and capacity to train a new puppy/dog
✅️ Your current dog has a well balanced temperment with no aggression or resource guarding behaviours
Considerations:
✴️ Your dog's AND the new puppy/dog's temperment (will they mesh)
✴️ Age and Breeds: Your 10 year old dog may not love having a new dog introduced, or your toy sized dog may get injured if a large breed dog/puppy is introduced
✴️ Gender: will both dogs be intact or fixed?

Dogs are pack animals and I am always in favour or having more than one dog when possible!
