Happy New Year from the HPS team!
With this being a new year, HPS is making some changes!
As per our post in August (it’s pinned on the HPS page) the prices of services are going up starting tomorrow, January 5th 2026.
What this means: all overnight bookings made on or after January 5th will be charged the new daily rate. Rates have gone up $10/day due to a rising cost of living.
If you are a regular drop-in/walking client, your rates will remain the same
We also now have independent contractors who work under the HPS name but they set their own rates, which may be higher (if you are with Haley and/or Meg they remain the same). These sitters are absolutely wonderful and we support them 100% in their decisions on their rates based on a number of factors to ensure the best care for your fur babies!
Clients will be required to sign contracts. These will be given out during the initial Meet and Greets the sitters schedule in order to get to know the clients and the critters they’ll be taking care of. If you decide to hire a sitter under the HPS name, these contracts should be signed before you leave for your trip. If you are already a client, we can email you the contracts to be signed online or printed off and signed.
And lastly (sorry for the long post, thank you for staying), payment is to be made BEFORE you leave for your trip. Our sitters work very hard to ensure the best care and do not want to have to message their clients days later asking for payment. Split-payment may be arranged for longer trips but that’s at the sitters’ discretion. We understand this is different, but all sitters will also have references backing up their incredible work ethics, integrity,and commitment to the best care.
